Weren't there suppose to be tokens for Primal fights (Hard)?

For some reason I recall Yoshida saying that we would have a token system in place for Primal fights as well as dungeon so we don't have to do them a hundred time without ever getting the weapon we needed. Has this been changed at some point? Because for the life of me I could not find any token after I complete Ifrit (Hard) a few times nor can I find an NPC that sell Primal weapons.

I seem to recall them saying there would be tokens for the hard primal fights too. Im not anywhere near ready for them yet but id like to know if its true there are no tokens.

I don't think those tokens drop anymore. Rowena in mor dhona accepts those for philosophy tokens.

They had mentioned that they were considering using Tokens in dungeons, as well as limit need rolls, as a way to combat unnecessary looting/grieving. It was then stated after Phase 4 that they didn't observe this as an issue and decided instead to leave things as they were until their was a reason to use tokens.

As for the Primal hard fights, I don't personally recall hearing anything about tokens for them, so I can't speak to that.

Yea, they said primal fights would have tokens too, a long ass time ago. Don't see why they changed that and make rowena's goons accept the old 1.0 primal tokens for tokens for other stuff.

I wonder if they just think people forgot all the stuff they said back then hm.

The token system are the Tomestones.

Hard mode Primal currently and lvl 50 dungeons we will get later as a update will drop them but we can only collect 300 Tier 2 tomestones a week.

Tier 1 tomestones needed for darklight set has no limit so focus on that first and gather a bit of tier 2 ones once in a while.

the NPC on the left side trades special cosmetic blue gears for drop tokens such a Ifrit's Horns and such which is randomly dropped when you defeat the Hard Mode Primal. There are also some unique weapons for them as well such as the Garlean Gunblade and special chocobo mount skins.

NPC on the right trades items for Tier 2 tomestones and are used to buy AF2 Armor set which is one of the most powerful sets in the game. It is equal to the Allagen set but stats are different between them so if you want more push to Job role you can role AF2 set but if you want more utility you can role Allagen set.

Putting primal weapons as a tier 2 tombstone trade-in would also be the next stupidest thing for them to do. If they were going to make them token trade-ins, they would be traded for tier 1 tokens and they would already be able to get them that way. I think they just dropped the plan to put tokens on primal fights that you trade specifically for their weapons.
