The game is pretty good. Anybody who believes they remade the game for fan service must enjoy Christmas and when Santa comes over and eats the cookies you left him.

Final Fantasy is gigantic title. To have it fail monetarily would be a near fatal blow to the company. This HAD to be done. They needed the huge turnout PLUS need people to keep their subs for the next 2 years to cover what they probably spent dev'ing the entire project.
