They should make overflow servers that are parallel to the server clusters we play on. That way, even though the server we are on is full, we can still play our characters and progress and still be in queue to the real servers. Like GW2, I guess.

People are actually considering this game as a failure just because its full and you can't get in? Do you go to the movie theater and after being told that the movie is sold out you run out yelling this movie is a failure? After a week or two all these server issues will be more stable and it will be your loss if you decide to stop playing now.
1. Movie theaters doesn't make or own the movie, so whether the movie is good, or not is out of its control... Apple and orange.People are actually considering this game as a failure just because its full and you can't get in? 2. SE made the game, SOLD it to players so that they can play, and SE has total control over the amount of servers available to the players that BOUGHT the game to play.
3. Sure, the game itself (content) might not a failure, as it is too early to judge. But as a company, a full week after launched, still cannot fixed the servers issues is a failure, that is, in the eyes of players that bought the game and cannot play.
It's not the movie producers or the movie theater's intention to leave thousands of people out of a sold out show. Yet this always happens.1. Movie theaters doesn't make or own the movie, so whether the movie is good, or not is out of its control... Apple and orange.

As far as you paying for the game, you will get your 30 days worth of uninterrupted gameplay and you will get your money's worth for the game. SE already said they are extending the free trial period for at least 7 days. The fact that we are all sitting here pressing start to get in for hours like a bunch of crackhead fiends tells you that this is far from failure.
Miss, you are aware that more than likely, this game will run WELL past this week right? Months/Years into this, no one is gonna be judging this game over this blip. Like, calm down lol. For the first time since Early Access began, I actually CAN'T get into the game. I've spammed the log in button for 5-10 minutes and got in every time I wanted to play until now.Am I disappointed? Yes. But truth be told, I need to go to bed anyway.1. Movie theaters doesn't make or own the movie, so whether the movie is good, or not is out of its control... Apple and orange.

But back on track, chill. The game is great when you're playing. If you can't see how their only error was failed projections as far as number of players goes, you're being delusional & whiney. Things happen. They're fixing it. They're running test on the servers now so less issues arise when they're actually implemented. Take a chill pill lol
I don't know which is more entertaining really. Playing when I get the chance to log in, or coming here to listen to people complain about how they know everything about server infrastructure because they played some other MMO that didn't have half the number of people trying to simultaneously log in. I want to play too. But I've also been around long enough to know that after a week when they add servers to even out the load, I'll be grateful there are this many people trying to play as 1) I'll have people to group with to run instances and 2) SE will have subscribers to keep content being developed. It's been 1 week since early access started. It isn't the end of the world.
I just ate some wings.
Glad someone else thinks this too. Have I had login issues? Yes. Am I slightly irked? More than slightly. Do I have other things that I have to get done? Most definitely. I'll continue with these things and check periodically, and so far, that's worked just fine.
Plus, I've gotten a metric shit ton of stuff achieved on my now freed up weekend lol
