    its just completely stupid 3 of the 5 friends that were going to play this with me have deleted their games already the other 2 still cant make characters on my server and I haven't been able to log in since the first day. so good job on the limits so your 20% sales can play and the rest get ready to gut you SE

    Actually OP, they are not dealing with everything as well as a company can.

    To have these easily avoidable server issues at relaunch is a joke. Such basic things too like having decent log in queues and log out timers on AFKers.

    As for respect, well that is earnt.

    You keep believing mate but for me well... Square Enix and Yoshi can kiss my ass. I'm uninstalling and taking my money elsewhere.

    I'm sorry, but this kind of error is just unacceptable. This isn't because there is an issue with the servers, this is because there isn't enough capacity to handle the load. There is no limit to idle characters, so people are just leaving their toons logged in whenever they leave so there is no wait. That a major company would make this kind of misjudgement shows a complete lack of perspective towards the popularity of their own title. I work for a living. I do not have much spare time, and that my money has now been wasted on something I cannot use is ridiculous. Adding server capacity will not solve this issue if a limit on idleness is not imposed. I've never experienced this in an online game before. I expect to log on and get kicked off. I expect massive bugs that take over a month to fix. I expect servers to crash for hours on end. I do not expect that the product for which I paid will only take up space because no one at square had the foresight to secure a larger quantity of servers. I almost never post complaints on forums, but there has got to be a place to vent for this type of an issue. That they had so many server issued weeks ago into the early access but haven't solve it might as well be them spitting in their customers' faces. "Yeah, yeah. We will get to it. For now, just sit there and waste your precious spare time clicking. Alternatively, don't click. Don't even play. Cancel your membership and don't come back. If you do that, there will be less traffic and this will solve the server issue." This is the response that it seems we are getting. Why am I wasting my weekend clicking on a menu? If I can't play on my days off, why would I pay for this? You may be content to wait for these issue to be resolved, but this is not how a business should be run. If they cannot fix this within the next couple of days, a full refund should be offered to anyone who wants it. That won't happen though. I am either out my money that I spent, cancel my account, and never play; or I keep clicking and never play. Neither option is appealing. I really am upset at the lack of faith Square has shown in their own franchise that they weren't prepared for this kind of traffic. Until the servers can be opened up, I cannot even complain about any ingame issues. I don't even know what it is like to play the game beyond what I was able to during pre-release. I'd gladly trade not being able to play for a thousand and one in game issues.

    I agree Rev.

    I understand the server capacity issues. I get that SE is "working on it". But the AFK issue is simply incompetent.

    And no, fanbois and fangurlz, SE has not addressed the AFK question, other than to say they are "considering" it but have assigned it a lower priority behind the server upgrades.

    That's no answer at all. Who made the decision to not implement this at launch, and why?

    Interesting, it's a good game, certainly not the best one I've played in the FF franchise, but you know it's that simple, they put a lot of work into it for an MMO, I bought the Collector's edition, I've been playing it, it's pretty good. The login issues are annoying yes, and it's unfortunate that it happens, but you know there are other things one can do to pass time, all I know is that Square are sorry, and have been letting us know with as much detail as they can about what's going on and how they are going about fixing it.

    I can't ask any more than that, I don't see a need to get upset because well it just came out, I played in the Beta, I played in Early Access and I have enjoyed what I played, the issues will resolve themselves and soon enough they'll be a thing of the past, the game isn't going anywhere, my character will be there to be played once the server issues have been worked out.

    It's that simple.

    So you can be a smartass if you really want to, I can't stop you, but I personally don't understand why everyone who isn't yelling, screaming and/or Bitching and moaning, are labled as Fanboys and blind, just because they don't feel the need to act like they were cheated because they lost a few hours of game play, it's just not that important, I just understand that these things happen, not much we can do about it, I do know however that once the dust clears, I'll enjoy the game I bought, unless server issues somehow break the story and game play.

    But you see, I didn't label you as a fanboy. However, you are doing more than simply not complaining/yelling/screaming-- you are denying that players who are frustrated & angry have a right to that anger, that it is an incorrect response to making a purchase and being denied the use of that purchase according to the terms set forth by the vendor. I did say you seemed blind to-- or at least very reluctant to admit that SE made preventable mistakes. I stand by that, not as an insult to you, but as an observation.

    Fundamentally though, your posts convey a sense that you just don't think it's alright, or reasonable, for people to feel differently than you do about all of this. That your approach to it is the one correct way. I simply disagree with you on this point. And note that I have done so without screaming, or raging with ALL CAPS, etc., despite your implicit characterizations of those that disagree with you as all kinds of irrational raging trolls lacking in basic human decency.

    I applaud the persons who don't mind waiting. I also agree that the game is amazing. What little I've been able to play has already surpass my expectations for the ingame experience. I don't care about the lost free days, nor do I think that Square's apologies aren't sincere. However, everyone has a good point. The fact that we can't experience the amazing content is a problem. The AFK issue can be fixed in one update which could be implemented in less than a day. If they don't know how to do that, then Square has a lot bigger issues than the server problems, like finding a decent programming engineer. I mean, if every other MMO has that, how come this one doesn't? I've already requested a refund for this game. If I get it then I will laud Square for their good business sense. If not, then I know I won't play beyond my subscription (if I ever log in) and I won't support square in the future either. You all have really good points. Like I said, I think it is great that there are people willing to wait. I am not one of those, nor am I going to be compensated in actual time. That would just be impossible. Since time is the only thing I really value, there is no benefit for me to wait. I have another game coming out Tuesday that I would rather be playing; and without the bonding time of this weekend towards this game, I won't give it a second thought in the coming months.

    I don't think that people who are angry are wrong. I can't log either and I really wanna play.

    Still, what we're basically saying is that square ARE working on it right now, so there's no use to talk about it over and over again. They know it, they are working on it. They know we are not satisfied. THEY KNOW. So I think we can just chill out and either ask for a refund, or wait for around wednesday-ish to see if they fix it and eat a sandwish.

    Were all on the outside looking in and DUH we know how to fix the problem. At launch in beta, before beta no one I new thought this game would do this good now.

    Fed up? Lol been playing mmo's for sometime now and all have problems here and there. I play on 2 servers JP and NA and have been playing every day.

    Hey I understand you dont want to wait so quit and come back in a week or two. HAHA its a game man I think I can handle a wait for hours or days..
