No costs for Subscriptions?

Ok... first off, i am an old 1.0 Collectors Edition owner. That CE addition came with a life-time subscription deal attached to it.

Now.. FFXIV ARR launches. Started up a new character (as my Legacy one is only lvl 10 in one job and 5 in another.. wasnt losing much starting over). I play for a bit, then get caught up in all of this server infrastructure crap. (cant even see the NA/EU Servers to log in now =T).

So.. since i cant play, but liked the new version of the game, i decided to check out the subscription plans. Mainly because i noticed these: http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...ption_service/

30 day sub and get a chance to re-tweak your character? nice.
60 and 90 and get mini's and a mount? even better.

So.. i go to the Account settings, and look for the subscription thing. I start going threw that, when i noticed just before the 'checkout'.. that there is no cost showing up.



So do i somehow still have a lifetime membership. are the membership subscriptions as broken as the servers seem to be at the moment. Did someone simply forget to put in the prices.... or is everything 'free' at the moment?

I dont remember there ever being a lifetime sub with v1.0 and I have the old CE...

Also its showing $0 because you still have free play time, when thats up it will take whatever subscription plan you have set up out of your account.

I thought that too at first (and the 1.0 had some deal with 1$ a month subscription for life, cant fully remember what it was though, think it had to do with how badly the game was doing, and an attempt to keep us CE owners happy.). But then i noticed that even at the page were you chose 30/60/90, subcription plans, no prices are shown.

Up until i took that screenshot, not one single 'price' was shown at any point. No 14$ a month, no 36$ for 3 months, no 80$ for 6... Nothing. If i'd continued threw the process i likely would have been basically buying 'blind'. Having no idea how much i'd be charged when the trial did expire.

Does sound odd, I wont be putting anything in until it asks me for money. I guess if you have set up a 90 day sub, which the picture shows just keep an eye on your account on the day of or before your free play time runs out.

I also have the 1.0 collector's edition and legacy account status, and while I promise you won't get a lifetime free subscription , you should receive a discount. I don't remember the 2 and 3 month prices, but the monthly for legacy is 9.99 instead of 14.99.

I couldn't find the prices listed anywhere when I subbed as well but if you go to your square enix account and select "List Subscriptions" it will show you the cost of the subscription under next estimated service fee as well as when they will charge you.

I understand why someone would be upset for buying blindly, but in the future it is very easy to research things. That is what I do whenever I want to buy something I research it first, I don't just go buy it.

when the trial is over then you will be charged
