    I 'guess' i could be considered a fan boy, i'm having a lot of fun while in game, but yeah. Just stop the error message and put us in a freaking queue. clicking for so long over and over and over hoping to get put in a queue is really killing any enthusiasm for the game. I've even told people i'm having fun, but to not even consider getting the game until this is fixed. It will just turn them off from it.

    Believe me, Rabbitzero, I was a fanatical XI player. I adore SE's games. This, however, is just simply wrong. I explained it on another thread. SE had allllllllllllllllll the information they needed to gauge what kind of server loads they'd be dealing with. They had the statistical data and chose to ignore it. Remember, we are playing a relaunch, not a perfectly new game. They knew what to expect, rushed things as to try to turn a buck as quickly as possible and left us to sit here clicking a button to log in for hours. In no way, shape or form is this excusable.

    The server congestion is an absolute joke when you can't even queue, SE sold far too many digital copies of the game and kept doing so for a few days even AFTER the problem making it much worse as they're clearly over greedy for money and that's what it all comes down to in the end. Servers cost money, lets run on the minimum amount of servers possible and sell as many copies as possible for the biggest profit and stuff customer satisfaction. After pressure SE finally had to stop selling any more copies at the money as people buying it couldn't play at all when SE knew this was the case, it's entirely SE's fault. They know how many copies are sold via digital download which is most copies of the game sold and they know how many copies are in the stores. They will also have done market research or should have done to determine roughly how many copies would sell. Also they should have had standby servers ready and waiting to launch if things got over busy, it shouldn't take them over a week to do this while people like myself are forced to spend more of my subscription time on here complaining than enjoying the game. Now SE are finally going to add more servers, well it's not for customer satisfaction, it's so they can sell more copies of the game via digital download to make more money.

    I still see nothing about SE extending the included subscription time for all the time people haven't been able to play because of this problem, this is the least SE should do and they should have sorted out the queueing system so we at least can play eventually after a wait, getting told to try later is ridiculous when people have PAID TO PLAY! The subscription time isn't free at the moment either, it's included in the price of the game.

    You might also want to read it. For those of us with a 30-day trial, they have only given a nice indecisive "maybe". The legacy 7-day trial is being compensated because, well... It's taking them longer than a week to make the game playable for an immense sum of people (and even then, they're still only saying "we'll let you know..."):

    "To apologize to our loyal fans who may not have been able to login or create characters during early access and the days immediately following launch, the development and operations teams are currently considering providing all player accounts with an additional seven days to their free trials. This includes non-legacy players from 1.0, who will be given new seven-day free trials. Trial extensions will be awarded after the aforementioned server maintenance on Wednesday. Details on the trial extension, including the extension period, will be released in a separate post as soon as they have been solidified."

    All I want to know is, when are they going to stop rewarding the jerks that stayed logged into the game and never leave, and stop punishing the people who actually log off when they are not playing. How can they not have a feature to take the afk people online in this day and age. It's unheard of. Especially with these congestion problems.

    1. Not everyone checks each forum regularly, nor should we have to for system-wide issues & updated like this: The client has a facility to provide this information. Don't blame players for not reading or searching when SE isn't putting the information where players would expect it.

    2. Even if we get this extension (and as others have pointed out, it's still a "maybe") it's 7 days they're talking about, which is less than the time we will have had these issues by Wednesday (if it's actually resolved then)

    3. Giving us back the time lost isn't compensation for these issues, it's just giving us what we already paid for. If they want to compensate us, give us twice the time we lost, or some type of special in game item.
