I have never before seen an MMO company incapable of implementing a queue system. 1017 is just an insult to the consumer base - I have absolutely no problem sitting in 3000 person queues waiting for my chance; in fact, I expect long log-in delays. However, having no idea when I can get it - having to constantly relogin because the company can't get a proper queue system working.. unacceptable.
That being said - I enjoy the game, it was worth the initial fee (free game time included). If I'm compensated appropriately for the last week of wasted time (and the time wasting stops) then I'll give it a month sub. The game's "newness" should last through that, at least. However, beyond that it really depends on new content. I can pay the same monthly sub over at wow and get quality content at a reasonable pace - SE will have to do that, too (while polishing the game itself) if it wants to keep getting my money.
Made a long angry post about how incompetent the devs are when it comes to basic issues like an auto afk kicker and a queue that's worth a damn. Was to long. Long story short no, I will not give them anymore money if its not fixed. I've had to fight the urge to do a chargeback which is pretty easy to do when I remind myself how fun the game is when I can play. By the way, 4 hours straight today trying to log in while watching football and only seen the terrible queue one time just to get an error obtaining world information.
I hope they get their shit straightened out. The game really is a lot of fun. And no white knights don't bother telling me about the 7 free days. I could care less. Take those 7 free days and actually fix the issue in a timely manner not 2 weeks later. This really makes me worry about future issues that may come up.
I would have responded no a few days ago. Since then, I've seen the later dungeons and storyline content.
I'm addicted. Errors or not, I'm pleased to be a loyal fan.
I played FFXIV 1.0 thru 1.23. Been through the rough times and the good times. Already registered for 180 days and plan on continuing to do so.
Already did. Solid game, fast response times, dev-interaction on the forums, compensation for screw-ups, communication of plans to fix issues, I'm sold.
These issues are nothing, man up. Imo.

Same. I have it set up, but I can always cancel if not fixed. I do believe they will fix it though. If SE follows through they should have it fixed within the next well. On top of that Yoshi said he would be giving players the 'free time' that they lost with these issues. I have already set up my 180 day payment cycle, but I have a few weeks to reconsider if things do not improve. But they are working on new data centers, new worlds, and a afk kicker so I feel that this will be fixed within the next week or so.
Do I have faith they will fix it, yes.
Do I like the way it is right now, no.
Would I pay if this issue is still going on a month from now? I honestly don't know. And the fact that I have been a long time supporter of SE and love this game... me saying I don't know if I would pay is a big thing.
I will stay for the month fee and if things don't change i am out. But i will not return to playing Wow. If i wanted to play repetitive content i would play the same console game over and over. Wow recycles way to much content and that will be the second reason i would leave FF14, repetitive content or recycled content is a big no for me.
How can I subscribe when I always get an error when I try to add payment options? Maybe if they FIXED that I would.
I already sub and I am not regret it, this is a temporary problem which they admit and already dress how they will fix it and even update on it as well, why make it into a big deal ?
