If customer service really wanted something productive to be done they could at least figure out a way of dealing with this common problem in a direct and easy manner. Alas, the woe's of an in inept structure.
Dunno. Because of the massive amount people they're getting (yes, yes, we KNOW they messed up, we've all said it), they end up closing tickets after two days if they don't get resolved, so the database doesn't get congested. I've got a degree in computer science, so I at least have some idea of how it probably works. But, as I was saying, because of all the people and problems, it'd be faster to just find your way into the chat. If no one can find a way into it, I guess we'll just go back to posting a direct link. It's Enix's own fault we need to resort to that, anyway.
I've noticed that open tickets are listed much faster than closed ones. That tells me that open tickets are given a sorting algorithm prioritizing speed, while closed ones are optimized for taking up less storage space. This only works for open tickets as long as there aren't a massive amount of tickets to look through. The same amount of space can be taken up by fewer open tickets and still be efficient.
