Well pardon me for having a proper sleep schedule. I went to bed around 11pm or so EST and just woke up at 7, so I missed that whole conversation. This thread exploded like 30+ pages over that time, didn't feel like reading it all before I'd even had my morning coffee. Thought I would hop in the queue first in the meanwhile though so it could tick down.

I'm in 5/1 now and have been 5 in queue for the past hour. Me thinks it isn't moving at all. I'm also in 5/2 in another window, which I started at 100 something, down to 62. We'll see how it goes.

Seriously, this shouldn't be such a huge issue. I'm in shock that they made a system so convoluted and aren't doing everything under the sun to appease angry players and repairing their accounts.

I just emailed everyone in the Square Enix press / public relations department. Here's hoping one of them reads my email rather than just trashing it.

Maybe once their PR people hear of how we're starting to spread horrible word of mouth they'll step in and try to quickly fix things. I linked them to this thread, the thread on Reddit, and the article on MMORPG.com that mentioned how horrible customer service has been for this game.
