I'm posting this here, because it seems that this is where those who know whats up (Dragoons) are hanging out ^__^

Ok, so I am lvl 32 now, and since hitting lvl 30 I have been trying to beat "Proof of Might". I can't get past Foulques. First time at lvl 30, I tried to take out the adds first and didn't last (heal stuff on timers). Then I tried just focusing on Foulques and I didn't last long enough. Now at 32, all steel equips and sunburst equips, and I still can't seem to down this bastard. The one vid I saw on this the guy was at lvl 34. Should I just be waiting to level up forst, or do you guys have any tips?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Lancer Attribut Points?

I am wondering where I should possibly be placing my Attribute points and why. So far from what I can tell just looking at the game stats and what they say in game I would say just dump them into strength.

Just gonna copy this over from another thread. This seemed to help the other person that was having difficulty so maybe it can help you too.

Take PUG's Second Wind and Featherfoot (and Internal Release if you have it). Have Straight Shot from ARC. Start the fight off with Straight Shot, stun him with Leg Sweep, shift to the side and hit him with Heavy Thrust. Try to keep these up whenever possible (so Heavy Thrust buff whenever he stops to cast or you can stun with Leg Sweep). Use Featherfoot and Keen Flurry consecutively to mitigate some of his damage (or you can save them for the adds). Your primary offense will come from True Thrust > Vorpal Thrust > Full Thrust. Use Life Surge right before Full Thrust for larger self heals. Burn his adds real quick when he spawns them. I noticed the casters doing pretty decent damage. When he starts charging his AoE attack that places that ice circle on the ground, get away and use Piercing Talon for the bit of extra damage. Just make sure to stay out of the circles as they do damage. Use High Potions if necessary.

Thank you very ,much. I do have those PUG skills, but wasn't using them in that order. I will try this out. As far as ARC goes though, I thought as Lancers all we could pull skills from was MRD and PUG? Is this wrong? I never even bothered leveling ARC up for this reason.

Again, many thanks. I will get this bastard! ^___^

I've put all of my attribute points purely into strength, and haven't had a single problem I put down good damage and am not the least bit squishy.
Although I leveled PUG to 22 before starting my lancer, that second wind....

Lancer can pull from any class. Dragoon can only pull from Pugilist and Marauder.

I personally think skill speed is a must for Dragoon. In my experience so far, I've been able to output more damage as the cool downs are much shorter. Does this scale well at endgame?

You'll find skill speed will just help you run out of TP faster. Might as well make the hits hit harder vs faster imo. Only at 45 atm but everytime I've picked up skill speed vs acc/crit I've always had to mitigate my TP usage. I found it was much easier to use acc/crit and just hit harder vs faster.

so far TP hasnt been a super huge issue for me (only 39) and ive prefered skill speed. I just have to use invigorate as soon as i can use it, not wait until i need it. Not saying this wont change before 45

I'm thinking it will be a situation of "skill speed is worth ____ if you can reach ____ otherwise go ____" like you commonly see in other games with haste and DoT/HoT based classes. Ill try to make some sort of spreadsheet down the line when more formulas are figured out
