From beta, I've always been a tank, and tanks, we get into parties through the duty finder pretty fast(I never wait any longer then 3 minutes, never).

I queued up as pug for sastasha, been in the queue waiting on a party for over an hour now. I now know what it's like, to have the long waiting feeling, that all you of you guys not playing a tank complain about.

guys, more tanks are needed in this game, the duty finder times need to level out more. Nobody should have to wait forever in duty finder.

yea no doubt.. lol .. when im done maxing archer here in 10 lvs i'll prob sub class a tank just cuz i know it will be easy to lv and find dungeons waiting game is horrible.. not to mention dps and even healers have to fight for drops.. while tank haha they get it all

The lack of either tanks and healers are common issue in every MMO. People tend to use DPS classes because... they like to punch and slash things or they see it as a boring task or maybe they don't want to take those responsabilities. But well, I'm against the idea of creating a character just because it's needed. Everyone should play what they like. Also, even as either a tank or a healer, it's hard to find a group at this hours.

well there are plenty of healers and plenty of dps from what i'v seen no shortage of healers

The queues are long but I tend to maximize it by doing quests, hunting log, exploring and eating chips.

Not really, there are a ton of "DoW" gear that tanks can't roll need on, stuff that we could really use, but its reserved for DPS classes. The whole system needs a revamp!


Tanks are in very short supply though, an even worse finding a "good" tank. Before I started playing GLD/PLD the few instances I did were not so great. To anyone willing to play tank, you can't just get by on trivial gear, you gotta keep yourself updated with the best of the best for each block of levels, it does wonders for every PT, you have lots more HP and DEF. Really helps out the healers!!!

Whenever I queue for an instance its about a 2-3sec wait, then multiple requeues waiting for DPS to confirm their invites...lol

once i lvl 50 my Monk i will go either tank or Healer since finding parties as DPS takes freaking long time

plus i wanna try other classes before i go doing Hard mode Duties

Yesterday I que'd for Haukke Manor and it took like an hour.
I was a healer. I'm like what the hell?
Decided to make a party around me and we shouted for a tank, finally, we got a tank via duty.
So yes, we desperately need more tanks. ;x

Why I personally just make groups in my FC and LS. No having to class check, can go in with 3DPS if I wanted to by just being at the dungeon entrance.

To be honest, it doesn't matter what time it is, as a tank, i never have longer then a 3 minute wait. Most often, I'm in a party seconds after registering the duty.

I agree that everyone should play what they like, I for one enjoy being a tank.
