Same here, except on Cactuar. Figured I've waited from noon until Midnight so I might try and log in again... except I get error 1017 without it even trying to show my character.

*Edit* And now the Start menu is dark and can't be pressed.

I'm having that issue too. Server full before I can even see my character. They are making things worse trying to do these bandaid fixes before upgrading there equipment.

What sucks is that now you can't even select another world after hitting start because it throws a 1017 error while trying to pull up your character on the full/down world. In an instance like this the game should default to a server selection screen instead.

Alright lets inform everyone, ERROR 2002: THE LOBBY SERVER CONNECTION HAS ENCOUNTERED AN ERROR Character can't be seen, and if you pass the ERROR 2002: you will get the ERROR 1017: THE WORLD IS CURRENTLY FULL, PLEASE TRY AGAIN.. It was first affecting NA/EU Data Centers Around 11:58 PM EST, now it even reached JP Data Centers, 12:12 EST.

Im able to log onto NA servers.. pitty my toon is on JP and the server list has gone walkabout.

I actually just encountered the same issue on Masamune. Was running through Gridania and when I was loading to New Gridania I d/ced and then got the 3102 error, and everytime I try to login I get told my character still hasn't logged out of the server please try again later.

+1 happened to me too....but mine said server is full try again later.

OK, NA/EU Lobby Server is back to normal, world are fulls, but JP Lobby server is not working yet!

I made an entirely new character on the JP servers and now I can't even log in because the JP world list is not even popping up. I compromised and went around all the error crap but now even on Ultima JP server I keep getting error 90000, 2002, 5005, 10102, and 3102. I don't understand what SE is doing but I always thought the purpose of maintenance was to address these deplorable issues of error nuances. This is getting old really quick as I'm getting annoyed because this has been going on all day.
