Thanks Yeah, there seems to not be nearly as much references to FF8 and 9.

Don't you use the Buster Sword for all three of the DPS limit breaks?

    Magitek armor mounts (FF6).
Ultima Weapon (Forgot which one he was in first, actually.)
Adding Phantom Train and Ultima Weapon. I already had Magitek Mounts. Thanks!

    Added, thanks!

EDIT: Is anyone able to tell me what part Ultima Weapon has as a reference? Is he an enemy or just referenced. Also, if anyone sees my list and knows more details about a reference, please let me know. Some of the points on the list I don't know much information about.

For Braver, yes. For Final Heaven (also another FF7 reference), I'm like 99% sure you don't use a buster sword.

Also, during the Bard quests, the Bard NPC calls himself "spoony", which is what Tellah shouted at Edward in FFIV.

Thanks, I'll update the limit break part and add the Final Heaven reference and the spoony reference.

Changed a few parts of the main post. Turns out the Gem of Shantotto is actually called the Gem of Shatotto. It's still a possible reference. Also, apparently many of the limit breaks are references, so I made one point that covers them all.

Death gazes from Central Shroud are probably the same Deathgaze in FFVI, although they are of different significance. It is kinda disappointing to see a boss that we spent hours to kill back in FFVI appear as normal mobs.

I don't wanna spoil the main storyline too much, but yeah, he plays a really big part towards the end. He's an enemy and he even casts the Ultima spell.

Deathgaze has been in a bunch of Final Fantasy games actually. The one in VI looks more like a demon or the grim reaper. The one in XIV looks like a mix of the one from XIII-2, XII and Deathguise from IX. I'll add it under Final Fantasy XIII since its the most likely reference.

In Final Fantasy IV, there were two moons. The red moon was an artificial structure built by the Lunarians.
In Final Fantasy XIV, Dalamud was a red moon, built (?) by the Allagan.

Bahamut was also located on the red moon in IV, giving another tie to XIV.

Its' both to be honest, the whole 7th Umbral Era storyline was basically a Final Fantasy VII reference; project Meteor, Nael van Darnus walking through the flames, heck, 7th Umbral Era and even VIIth Legion.

I'll just keep out any extra info then. Don't want to spoil anything. Thanks!

There are various NPCs that do the squats that Zach does from Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core. They can be found all over Eorzea, but most noticeable ones I found were at the Forgotten Springs.

That was a big kicker for me.
