I just wanted to say that I love the death sytem - A WHM

On Behemoth while I'm running around questing and stuff I constantly run past people fighting something and you can see their hp is too low and their gonna die so I dismount and heal them though it they always thank me and if I'm there doing the same part of the quest they will usually stick around and help me kill my quest mob, in general the community on Behemoth is pretty friendly like that.

Hahah, even on PLD I keep Raise on while just casually traveling cause it can help people out. I enjoy it too.

Agreement to you! It helps you feel good about your choice to go the healer route. No longer is it just "I'm useful in a dungeon...that's about it." People want to bring you along at all times, help you quest, and assist you as much as you would them in their time of need. Who knew that no level penalty would still be as effective. People don't want to teleport home, then teleport out, then mount up and ride. A one minute debuff is well worth the res. xD

As a tank I love when im doing open world content and receive random heals.My question is if I am fighting a random creature in open world and get healed does the healer receive exp. for assisting in the fight? If they dont they should as a way of saying thank you.

i can't wait til i get resurrection as an arc, if i understand this correctly, i can use it in combat...which will be useful in fates.
course it's hard for me to res people cus most just teleport back after they die. i target them, get ready to cast and they are gone.
when i got res i looked all around for people in need of res...couldn't find anyone.

but i often find people to heal so that's nice...wish i could randomly buff people like in 1.0 (i loved finding someone fighting a tough fight and healing them, then putting on stone skin, then shell, and some others i can't recall. or just doing that to random folks i found along the way...felt good)
i need to do something about my low mind though...i got lots of int but low mind i don't know why...might be my race...but as a result my heals aren't that good.

I am glad I read this thread. I was unsure if it was acceptable to ask for raises (I see people shout all the time, thought it might annoy healers). :3

Weird, on Leviathan it goes a little something like:

/sh RASE ME
/sh RASE ME
/sh RASE ME
/sh RASE ME
/sh RASE ME

and then if you do it despite them spamming, they simple get up and walk away without so much as a thanks.

Then you go to help people out in a FATE, and they pull to many, don't hold aggro and you die. Then instead of spamming you would think they would just raise you, but they don't. In fact others come by raise their friend and then just leave you there.

So much for trying to be helpful.

I've had the opposite though, people thanking me after I raise them. Evens out I guess.
