Petition for the Fishermen, Join the Fight!

My fisher was my first job to 50. I don't so much mind the new mechanic, but those fish helped me get my Alchemist from 1-45+ and I was going to do the same with Cooking...

Now having looked through all the recipes, I see that not only is my Alchemist screwed (i.e. crystal making for other synths) - but my Culinarian may as well not even bother...

Aside from 20 minutes playing around with the new fisher system, my 50FSH is now officially retired until SE make it worth using again. #Sadface

I agree i wish fishing could be used to make some kinda profit or at least be useful. Its fun at the moment but lacks a real desire to do it because every fish is like worthless besides filling my fishing log.

Darn, is it really that bad? I haven't had the chance to take a look at these things yet, but I've always enjoyed the idea of fishing and turning the catch into delicious munchies. Us kittens are naturally fond of fishies, after all! But this is really sad, so this is totally gonna get...

I shall join your cause dear sir. I too would like for my bounty to mean something to someone other than the vendors who will do nothing but toss the fish aside after paying me a few coin for my haul. I love the water and wish to be drawn to it as though a Siren were shouting my name above the roar of the crashing waves as they beat against the rocks and ships. Fishing is a way of life, not just a pass time or hobby, it should pair well and reveal not only the minor catches but also the useful ones. So I say it again! I will join your cause, one fishmonger to another!

I'll get behind this. The only thing the fish are good for now is turning in for leve rewards. Oh, and chewing through inventory space.

I'm having fun with it, but sooner or later I'm going to have to just toss out all these fish.

I'm an avid fishermen in most mmo's I play, and I agree the fish need more uses other then the few recipes here and there and a guild leve. Every fish not 1 in 10 EVERY FISH needs a recipe a use, be it bait, alchemy, cooking or other crafts thats all we're asking for. Now I'm just gonna stock pile my fish i've caught so far, and continue leveling my other professions, but I'll come back to fishing eventually.

Also maybe adding certain fish to 'Trophy Plaques' that people can hang up on their wall to be like 'Hey. I caught that.'
