Registering PS3 Code

I had the pre-order/earl release code, assuming that whole free playtime is over.
I went in to redeem codes in my PSN account settings and now it's asking me to download/install it again; is this supposed to happen? I just want to make sure because I've installed this game like 5 times already and my internet is really slow

Oh sorry I derailed your thread a bit, to answer your question, no you don't need to install the game on PS3 each time .Given it's the same PS3, it will still have the game installed. The account code is a listed service for that Play Station Network account and is redeemed once you either link a Square Enix ID or create a new one. Just need separate PlayStation Network accounts for each Square Enix ID.

Edit: To better explain, I already had my Square Enix ID attached to my Play Station Network account and the game installed on my PS3, I just had my friend create a new Play Station Network account and then registered the 12 digit code to add the service to that PSN account. Things just got a bit botched when trying to login to attach said Square Enix ID and PlayStation Network account to one another.
