on arcanist i can get gold easy by tagging things with bio. i'd think cnj can do the same with aero.

Your Bio ticks significantly harder than Aero does. And that gives you more credit, as far as I can tell.

As for score, tab-aero spam for groups and Stone II spam with Aero/Thunder is good for bosses. So long as I'm there near the start I get gold every time, even if I do slap a few people with heals.

Would be nice to have a switch to let our AoE heals heal everyone who isn't in party though (It'd be dangerous to always have it: Pulling aggro off other squads).

The guarenteed way to get gold medals is exactly the same way smn'ers get it.
Spam Areo on every mob you see. You can also heal of course, but spam that Areo.

You know fates can suck for tanks too, we can barely attack anything before people start spamming AOE attacks, and by the time we target something else the fate is often over.

I agree with the AoE healing non party members in fates and on CNJ getting one offensive AoE and needing less damage to get gold.

Agreed, I have gone in healing and barely make a decent rating.
So why bother healing I guess?
Because it's what I like doing shoring up the party to make them stronger.

I second this that non party members get benefits of the AOE healing in fates.

Please dont. I HATE public parties.

They already have a way to identify when you join a fate (to give you the level sync button), just make it so when you are in one your AoE heals affect all nearby people and not just party members and we are good to go in the healing part.

I usually end up putting aero on everything and healing the tank... It seems to work.. But i agree i would much rather be healing everyone and getting gold

I absolutely agree. This system is unbalanced as it stands right now.

When I first starting doing FATEs with my CNJ I focused on healing other pcs running around, cuz I thought, "that's my job." And let me tell you, it is not an easy job in a FATE! No party list so you are trying other methods of targeting PCs who are likely running around kiteing.

I thought I was making pretty good XP from it at first, but then I got lazy and spent a few FATEs just DPS as CNJ.... I easily earned 3x the XP as when I did 3x the work trying to Cure and Prot everyone... Not cool.

FFXI's large scale battle system (can't remember what they are called atm...) worked wonderfully for WHM's and other healing and support classes. I knew people who would just run around casting raise and make CRAP tons of XP.

We need the same thing for FATE!! Please! ^.^
