    Suggestion for Healers + Fate

    Hey, I noticed that when healers who arnt in a party encounter a fate, like White Mage. We are rather weak, and lose mana quickly spamming Stone 1-2, we lack mana regen skills. up until lv 38. Ontop of that, if we heal during FATEs we dont get as much credit as A damage dealer or tank does. Specifically for the FATES that require killing mobs.

    Could healers get some kind of support bonus for healing out of party players? As well as some kind of mechanic for healing out of party members during FATES? Specifically for targetting, and using AOE type heal spells.

    EDIT

    Another thing - Conjurers lack an AOE, a single one would do. I saw a monster cast Water II and i thought that be PERFECT for conjurers to use! just a medium AOE around the caster?

    This. Even though I'm not a healer I would like for them to be rewarded to actually do what they do so well. I also find it sad that even when I yell when I died in a fate for a raise some 3-4 healers just ran past me without even a glance while the fate was still active and even at the end they just ran off to the next fate

    I do have CNJ to 12 so I cross class to my archer and I do respond to people asking for raise. Even help random people if I see they are getting hit badly while doing whatever they are doing and spam cure on them.

    This is sure is some troublesome balancing issue. We already get some reward for healing, however probably not much enough. On the other side nobody would like healers battleing over every HP to heal or maybe even lead to people volunteerly stripping off their armors to allow their healers in the party to heal even more HP and consequently improove the parties "Fate rating", but drop the speed of the fate finishing.
    The big issue is the AI behind such a "rating". How can the server evaluate your support quality other than in raw HPs healed? Maybe number of people you healed? But in a boss fate there should be only 1 tank that needs heals. Maybe give you bonus when healing people that would have died with further damage within the next 10 seconds? Also starting too many counters/calculations/timers could stress the server too much. Since I haven't healed in the 30+ range till now I am pretty much out of more concrete ideas.

    It would I think require a bit more split out approach for in-party vs out-of-party heals and fate heals and so on.

    What I do with my Conjurer for FATEs is cross-class Flash and Foresight. I end up healing myself a lot and it nets me a lot of experience (both from the heals and enmity). It might not be the best approach but works for me for now...

    On the topic, I agree with the OP. Something like Medica affecting people outside your party up to X people during FATEs would be nice...

    I've spent entire FATEs doing nothing but healing people (while not in a party myself) and gotten Gold awards every time.

    It really depends on the fate, quite a few fates simply don't need more than a couple of chocobos spamming regen to be covered for heals. That leaves cnjs with the option of either trying to dps and praying the fate isn't too long. Or doing the whackamole tag game with flash and aero. Lame and completely unhelpful to the group imo.

    The easiest option I can see would be to not require as much damage for a cnj to get gold as the dps classes.

    There already could be adjustments for this in game. Personally, I find getting golds doing dps as a WHM solo in FATEs is very easy. As long as you turn up towards the start then getting a gold reward is almost guaranteed.

    Exactly how much xp are you talking about lacking here? On CNJ I get 3-5k just from spamming Stone 2 or Aero if they are dyeing fast.

    on arcanist i can get gold easy by tagging things with bio. i'd think cnj can do the same with aero.
