I would also like to know why sometimes I get a Q(which i'm soon kick out of) and sometimes it just says re-try later. I just gave it a few more clicks got a Q. Was like number 293 2 min later 1017.

This excerpt is taken straight out of Yoshida's letter to the players.I would be surprised if they did not make an effort to accommodate people who are frustrated here, early release woes have been known to plague games long after things have been smoothed over. GW2's early issues matched with at the time lacking end game cause many to leave that, Diablo 3 while fun and all had an end game curve that was ridiculous early on, and also plagued it. Finally after promising my wife I would play this with her after initial not having any interest, the little time i had in beta 4/pre release changed my mind, and I would really love to be able to keep that promise.
"To thank all of you for bearing with us for so long, we will be looking into different ways to reward our loyal fans and customers, such as an extention of the free trial period. Details on the plans we have in the works will be announced shortly."
So hopefully this provides you with a ray of hope![]()
This happens to me as well all the time.
My best guess would be that adding in the server locks and such has essentially screwed up the queue system so that it has become unreliable and doesn't function as it should.
it is a pain, be more servers next week so wont be as bad. its good 2 c SE try 2 sort the problems out ASAP, like SE have said they didn't think there would be so many people on the severs, so there was going 2 b problems. hopefully when i have 2 start paying for sub there wont b any major problems.
Well said. This one would like to observe that Square Enix is working countless hours of overtime to get these issues resolved, Yoshi-P even cried on a live feed when referencing the issue. This one would like the community to be patient with SE while they resolve this issue as quickly as they can. Servers do not grow on trees.Yes? I don't care, learn patience. For those of you whining and raging, you are not the only one in the situation, but some of us see no need to act that way, now then on to more important things.
Update regarding Servers
Click the above. Don't want to read it? Too bad, you won't get anywhere if you don't, but it's okay because I can help you learn to read, let's observe some key pieces of information.
This explains it's self, the number of players was not and could not be foreseen, now these limits are in place so we, the players who bought their game do not crash the servers and stop everyone from playing, and they are even apologizing, it's clear Square do not care about us, because generally that's what an apology means... right? No? Oh.
Here is a Question, what would you rather?
A. Wait a bit longer but eventually get to play
B. Let the server crash and no one get to play for quite awhile, resulting in you waiting for a much, much longer amount of time
If you prefer B, you probably have issues to work out, so really it's that simple, now then, onto the next lesson.
So, we're getting new servers, and each server requires several computers to hold all of us in it, and they have been making these preparations for awhile now, they don't happen over night, but some of us apparently think they should be manifested instantly to solve all of our problems, that's fine if you think that way but I would suggest that being high right now isn't helping anyone. Next?
So there you have it, Square are actually doing something, because that's what they do, now can we please just have some sensibility on these forums, complaining, threatening spam or lawsuits or anything else that is impossible to take seriously helps no one, nor does it help your standing in the community.
You bought their game, not only that, you're all playing for free, we have an entire month, A MONTH, 30 days, of playing this game, with no extra cost, on top of that we're getting extra free days, so missing out half a day or so of playing because the server is full is not going to kill you.
Have some respect, they are dealing with everything as well as any company can, don't act entitled, because you aren't losing out.
yeah yoshi make a great PR statement on a 3rd party site, while telling us nothing
As we know, we all share the internet, like auto-mobil driver, we all share the road and have to not go on road-rage, crashing in the process.
It's a game and it has real life implications. SE doesn't work miracles over night, they actually have to spend some money for this with high hope they can return a profit for their employees. Employees have to eat too you know!
I choose [A] because I rather not have the servers crash while me or anyone is enjoying missions, quest, parties and player housing(later after the 2.1 update). I wonder how PvP aka "The Wolves Den" is going to effect the world O_o
Great thread BTW!

This one works in a NOC and understands the issues HT is facing, it deals with similar issues on a daily basis. SE admits underestimating the demand this game would have after the failure that was 1.0; this one implores you to please be faithful in SE and have patience. They WILL compensate the players for the issues, this one can guarantee it.
Yep, it is a post on the official forums.
Here is the link for those that have not read it yet.
