Totally understand. I too, paid. And as I said, I'm having little to no issues signing in. Again, tonight - under 5 tries for Excalibur.

So this petition is basically saying "Please just open the gates and let everyone on... so that eventually the servers will get overwhelmed and then crash so no one can play". Isn't that a bit selfish and assholish?

No, no it isn't, because if it is easier to log on people will stop going AFK and keeping their character logged into the game all the time, which is a waste of server space.

I'd definitely sign. It's my only day off and I can't play. Unlike the person AthelReiki who made the awkward post of "unsigning" something they never signed in the first place, I don't want to start a new character by switching servers every time I want to play. I've already done these quests before and I don't want to waste my day off doing them over again to attain the same level I was already at on a different server... Please put a queue system back in place! I don't care if it says "you are the 302 player in line" I just want to be able to see what my wait time is instead of guessing and wasting my precious day off.

See - your wording is incorrect. Technically you CAN play. You are the one actively choosing to waste their day spending hours trying to log into your favorite server. So, you should be saying "I'm choosing to spend my day off trying to get onto a server and I choose not to go to a JP server." I just don't understand why everyone is so pissed and saying that they cannot play. You CAN play. If you want to play then play, if you want to waste your time spamming the servers (which I doubt, because again, I get in quiet easily).

All this will do (which I know SE won't do anyways) is just open the flood gates and kill the servers. Why is everyone advocating for that? Do you think SE is just putting the limits on for amusement? Like "oh the servers really can handle the traffic, but lol lets mess with them instead".

I just wished everyone would think things through and realize this isn't just some random thing SE is doing to screw everyone over.

It's fantastic 'you' are having no issues. But it's a shame that because of this you seem to think nobody should complain because 'you' don't have an issue. Also, not everyone here is saying "let everyone on at once!" Some people want a queue system that correctly tells them their wait period, others seem to want compensation for purchasing an early release game that they can't play during early release... Isn't coming in here, to a post for people with issues that don't seem to be related to you as it doesn't seem to concern you and posting how you do not think their concerns are valid " I do not endorse this petition - leave things as they are" a bit selfish and asshole'ish?

If people here were saying "just let everyone in" then I'd agree with you. But, the majority just want a proper queue which seems to come and go. I had one yesterday... I was 37th in line and took about 30 min. I was happy. Today, I only get the error code and have no idea if I can play in ten minutes or if I should go for a walk around Osaka-jo Koen because it'll be hours before I make it in.

After an hour spamming the login process, finally got in a queue. Only then the queue went to the error message after a couple minutes. What a fiasco.

I'm pretty sure that Square Enix knows that 1017 is still there. The queue did open up to allow more people during EA which also caused the servers to crash - so they limited the number in the queue to prevent this from happening. So again - opening up the queue to allow more people (and yes, the queue is working, and it is limited) would crash the servers again.

And if leaving the server up and running smoothly for people who do get it makes me an asshole? then god damn, i'm an asshole.

lol my wording it technically wrong? I guess by your logic, a car with no engine isn't a problem; if you can get in it and someone pushes you can still 'ride it' to work.

It's at this point I'm going to assume that you're just trolling because nobody is that dumb to say " I just don't understand why everyone is so pissed and saying that they cannot play. You CAN play." and not understand people don't want to re-create a character over again and again to follow server flow. Not everyone here is like you where they want to flip flop around at lvl 1 all the time.

This isn't about "favorite servers"... it's not like we just want the name. We have characters, friends, things we don't want to do over and over again on these servers. Are you really this thick that it's not something you've taken into consideration?

I have only one character I want to work on, and I cannot get on the server she is on in order to play. It's been this way FAR too long. I've paid for a game that's broken, and I'm not happy about it.

Sorry, I must have missed how you managed to help leave the server up and running smoothly to make you an asshole. I believe I said coming here when you clearly are against these peoples concerns and stating how you're against their concerns because it works for 'you' is selfish and asshole'ish. Once again, you've misread. Also, I've never said that you said "people couldn't complain" I said you seem to think they 'shouldn't' complain. Please, if my posts are too much for you to understand, then lets call it quits. I'm using a second language here and perhaps you are too.
