Can I unsign? or sign against this petition? I don't understand. This week, I've been able to play on any server. Tonight it literally took me under 5 tries to get on Excalibur. yesterday it took me 15 minutes to get into Hyperion. Monday it took me 30 minutes of trying to get on hyperion, but gave up and went to Ultima with no errors at all (got right in). If playing this game means so much to you and you're bitching about not being able to play a game you paid for. go to a JP server. You'll get to play. Sure its not where you want. But don't come here complaining that you cant play. You CAN play, just not where you want at the moment. if playing on your server is that important then keep spamming. I certainly have never spammed for "HOURS". But maybe I'm just too old to give a shit so I'll play on a JP server so I can play.
So yeah, I do not endorse this petition - leave things as they are. I'd rather fight for 10 minutes to get on my preferred server than open everything up and have the server crashing or become congested.
Uhhh, you understand we PAID for this game so we kind of have the right to play where we want, like with our friends on the servers we can't get on, without having to spam trying to get into the game, right?
Totally understand. I too, paid. And as I said, I'm having little to no issues signing in. Again, tonight - under 5 tries for Excalibur.
So this petition is basically saying "Please just open the gates and let everyone on... so that eventually the servers will get overwhelmed and then crash so no one can play". Isn't that a bit selfish and assholish?
No, no it isn't, because if it is easier to log on people will stop going AFK and keeping their character logged into the game all the time, which is a waste of server space.Totally understand. It's fantastic 'you' are having no issues. But it's a shame that because of this you seem to think nobody should complain because 'you' don't have an issue. Also, not everyone here is saying "let everyone on at once!" Some people want a queue system that correctly tells them their wait period, others seem to want compensation for purchasing an early release game that they can't play during early release... Isn't coming in here, to a post for people with issues that don't seem to be related to you as it doesn't seem to concern you and posting how you do not think their concerns are valid " I do not endorse this petition - leave things as they are" a bit selfish and asshole'ish?Totally understand. If people here were saying "just let everyone in" then I'd agree with you. But, the majority just want a proper queue which seems to come and go. I had one yesterday... I was 37th in line and took about 30 min. I was happy. Today, I only get the error code and have no idea if I can play in ten minutes or if I should go for a walk around Osaka-jo Koen because it'll be hours before I make it in.

I never said people couldn't complain. I just don't see the point in it when there are open servers readily available. I also don't see the point of making a 7 billionth thread on this same topic. I'm pretty sure that Square Enix knows that 1017 is still there. The queue did open up to allow more people during EA which also caused the servers to crash - so they limited the number in the queue to prevent this from happening. So again - opening up the queue to allow more people (and yes, the queue is working, and it is limited) would crash the servers again. It's fantastic 'you' are having no issues. And if leaving the server up and running smoothly for people who do get it makes me an asshole? then god damn, i'm an asshole.
Once again, not worried about allowing more people, I want to s-e-e w-h-e-r-e I a-m i-n t-h-e q-u-e-u-e! Why does this keep coming back to the "open the flood gates" idea? Sorry, I must have missed how you managed to help leave the server up and running smoothly to make you an asshole. I believe I said coming here when you clearly are against these peoples concerns and stating how you're against their concerns because it works for 'you' is selfish and asshole'ish. Once again, you've misread. Also, I've never said that you said "people couldn't complain" I said you seem to think they 'shouldn't' complain. Please, if my posts are too much for you to understand, then lets call it quits. I'm using a second language here and perhaps you are too. If English isn't your first language, maybe we have a common one to discuss where you won't have so many reading mistakes. 日本語OKですか?

Oh, and no, your condescending sarcasm isn't lost on me.
I'm glad the sarcasm isn't lost! ^.^ Do you know how long it took me to understand English sarcasm? Forever... But, that's not really the point I wanted to make by asking if you understood. You see, it's the context. You've mis-interpreted a lot of my context and tossed in quite a few things I never even said or that were completely randomized. Like that whole "so you want to open the flood gates?" bit I keep hearing when I'm constantly saying I want a queue number instead of an error code. Here, maybe if you read this you'd understand me better:

Reading that thread just means people like you have found a place to rant about people like us. Why aren't you over there? You can complain about us over there and not be asshole'ish because it wouldn't be like walking into a room of people with problems and shouting out "I don't have your problem! Get over it!" o_o'

in no way shape or form did i ever ask for them to "open the gates" so to speak. This petition was to promote the usage of the queue system a bit better, Just because the server cant handle the initial load on it due to the emense popularity does not mean that they cant use the login server to their advantage in a little better way. Please dont put words in my mouth like that as it makes not only myself as OP but others seem undignified and thats never been farther from the truth. We are average players just like yourself, who are also adults, just trying to get input from SE (wich by this post theyve already made statements regarding it). So we did what we needed to and got word from yoshida, wether or not it was benificial or not is ultimately up to everyones disgression.Totally understand. I too, paid. And as I said, I'm having little to no issues signing in. Again, tonight - under 5 tries for Excalibur.

Just read my orriginal post a little closer next time, were trying to get the queue system back in place like it used to be with a little higher capping, and so that for every 1 person that logs out 1 can log in, how on earth would that make everyone log in at the same time O_o. Atleast this way we can atleast walk away and let the queu timer go down while we do other personal life stuff eh? No more Carpal tunnel for everyone.
They are already running it the best it can run, with constant adjustments. That is the only explanation for the fluctuating queue sizes, when you consider their statement that they are monitoring and adjusting 24 hours a day until the new hardware is ready. I realize that none of this was know at the time this thread was started, but it is known now. Isn't it time to just accept that this is the way it will be for the weekend, and no amount of posts are going to change that?
