Archer here. Most tanks are bad.

Tank here, Most archer's go full retard before i have hate.. not once have i been in an instance where an archer does not blow his entire list of CD's as soon as i pull. trying to get hate back is like playing ping pong. your guys solution to getting hate is *ERMAHGERD!! run around in circle nuke with all my CD's* herp derp.

if its one mob i will try my hardest to get hate back to make up for your retard mode. if i have multiple mobs "you" can tank it im not gonna risk the healer and other dps for one person when "you" die he'll come back to me. if "you" live kudos to "you".

If you tanked in the beta you kinda saw this coming. SE wants threat management to be part of group mechanics therefore threat jumping is more of issue than other games (WoW), and there's nothing wrong with that. However most dps dont understand or dont care and think they can do whatever they want and the tank should keep aggro.

All this is before we even get to the issue with potentially messed up aggro issues for particular classes like archers (which a ton of feedback was left about in beta). Unfortunately, I dont think most dps in duty finder will change the way they play, so to alleviate the issue SE will likely eventually have to go the WoW route and simply dramatically boost tank aggro.

If you guys are having a hard time at the low levels, just wait till you get to lvl 50. if you wiped on any of the primals or dungeons, the last fight of the story has all of the mechanics on one boss.

You know I remember having that in beta, but I haven't seen it since launch...is there a toggle they added in for it? I only see the class icons no bars now...course than again I haven't seen the game since tuesday this week either....

Also, about the bad tank thing...I blame the dd, as a cnj I have become quite annoyed at having to heal the tank and the archer (who shot first...your not han solo stop it) and the thm (arcanist I haven't had an issue with) because both of those are running around like chickens with their heads cut off just blasting anything that moves...and archer...don't kite the boss into the healer when you know the boss has aoe attacks...its not a flipping smart move

best advice is a lot of people are new...be patient and teach, course there are some that just can never be saved.

Qarn really forces you to learn how to tank. I still think im mediocre but before qarn I was a fair bit worse

Hate meter only shows if you target a monster or else it wouldn't make any sense when there are multiple mobs. It's pretty bad for healers since they need to target people to heal. The mini monster list also shows aggro in the color of the icon but you may need to act on a mob for it to be added to that list.

Brayflox shouldn't really be an issue for Gladiators. Especially single target, since you should have Rage of Halone by then.

Personally, I find the only time I have trouble tanking is multi mob packs where DPS split targets instead of attacking the marked one. And Flash isn't an AoE provoke. It builds threat sure, but it isn't guaranteed to instarip aggro plus it costs mana to use. If your tank is having to keep up rune blade for mana regen instead of Rage of Halone for single targets, then you're gonna have a bad time.
