Because you are just using a trial version (see 'Service account status')

You need to actually register the game for either Windows or Playstation 3.

Notice on my pic #3 on the top right it has the 2 ovals that says Win and PS3, that means I have the game registered for Windows and Playstation 3. Right now you currently have a SE account, but you do not have anything on that account, which is why you can't add a sub. because you would be paying for nothing.

I see you have the pre order bonuses so you must just need to wait for your physical box. Once you get it go into where you where in that pic and select the button that says "Add Windows service" and put in the reg. code for it. Than after you do that you will be able to add a subscription offer. Notice!! If you have the Playstation 3 version of this game you cannot add the playstation 3 servie through the mog station, you add it through the playstation 3 console itself, just log in to FFXIV with your PS3 and follow the instructions.

"Here is your early access code for the Windows PC version of the game:"

Entering that code says it's already been registered.
They never sent me anything else :S
