Since I have the client, can I return my game to gamestop and buy a membership?(ps3)

I pre ordered and paid in full just to get early access, The early access client is still letting me play even though I haven't opened my disc or used my free membership at all so can I just return my unopened copy to gamestop to get my 40 dollars back then just go on the website and buy an 30 day membership to continue to play and use the same client I downloaded from psn for early access and keep playing?

Or will the early access client be deactivated and I have to open my disc and play off disc for now on?

Your early access membership should be expiring today I believe. I haven't actually tried what you said however when I registered my key for the full game I have two different FF14 services on my account, one being the beta, and one being the proper account so I don't believe your plan will work.

well for one they have stopped the digital download, you need the registration code from the game to have your account become active after the free trial. So you won't be able to play if you do not reg your code you got with the physical copy

You have to register at least one retail code for the platform you are playing on, before you can purchase additional codes. Also-code purchases are not available at this time.

None of that makes sense though. First of all I'm not "digitally downloading" anything I already have it "digitally downloaded" so that doesn't apply to me only to people who don't already have it. Also when people say "code purchases are not available at the time" again I am not talking about any codes what so ever, I am talking about the monthly recurring subscription you pay to play the game so if that isn't purchasable that means that in 30 days there will be 0 people playing because everyone's monthly subscription went out and they aren't selling anymore subscriptions.....I don't think any of that is true.

The client I have connects and plays with everyone else and doesn't say beta at the bottom, It has also updated several times already I don't see what the difference between what I have and what is on the disc or digital downloads is so why can't I just buy a monthly subscription?

Because you don't have an actual registration right now. You need the registration code that comes with the game you bought.

In order to setup the subscription, you need to use the code which came with the game. Unless however, you already had a subscription from 1.0, then you can extend it. There is no way to just buy a subscription without using a registration code at some point in your FFXIV history.

Exactly, you have to prove you have purchased the game if you want to continue using it.

This just means you "messed up" when registering. You should only have one service account, instead of clicking the "Add Platform" button you used "Add service account" when registering your game key.

If your phase4/EA character is on service account 1 and your game is listed on account 2 you will lose access to your EA character tomorrow. An example: http://imgur.com/a/s4iYL

gamestop doesnt allow returns for online and or mmo games. since they require a registration code once opened the code is considered void.

as well early access is over you need a registration code to play past the 9th of September if your on a legacy account. which you should have had to enter by now.

possible to that you messed up your registration like tons of other folks there online services are kind of over the top and alot of people just click buttons instead of reading, so you may have 2 accounts and jacked up your stuff..
