LOL and you say people suck at tanking? you do x3.5 more Emnity if you do the warrior combo Heavy Swing > Skull Sunder > Butcher's Block. So does it take a while? Yes, but you will get aggro from skull sunder already.

I have done everything up to now without wiping (except the titan because I replaced the healer) Flash is decent for aoe aggro when your group is strong enough to not CC, other wise overpower is more than sufficient.

To be honest, I'm actually hesitant on joining parties because I feel like I'll screw up and ruin everyone's experience.
But how can I get better if I don't practice, right?

Don't be nervous. Get in there and give it a go. I think you will find people are less critical then you might imagine. People have been generally very polite and uncritical as far as my experiences at any rate. If someone has made a mistake though I have only seen minor ones and I have committed a few myself already, they say sorry for that and move on. It is a new game, barely a few days old and people are not going to know everything perfectly or every dungeon layout etc. You'll do great I'm sure

This a million times over. Yesterday we ran Ifrit and I wiped twice as the healer. Second time around my girlfriends archer finished it as we were all laying around with 3rd degree burns. After she left and it was just the 3 of us we were laying around joking about it having a good time for 5 minutes until we got out. Apparently both of us turned out to be couples and we were yelling at each other laughing it up making our respective neighbors think we were insane. I've yet to come across anyone in a bad disposition about others playing abilities.

I think a lot of tanks are just leveling fast through FATE grinding and queue in dungeons just for their main quest, and since they don't have any real tanking practice they have no idea of what to do and how they skills works, they just spam flash like they do on FATEs to claim all the mobs. I've had tanks in Brayflox that still don't know about the threat bars or what enmity is for.

Another thing that came to my mind, something really annoying, is the amount of people I end up grouping with that never answer any questions. If I have never been to a dungeon I always say that in the beginning and ask if someone has and I rarely get an answer. Most of the times that I do get a response it's the healer. I can even type out someones name and ask them to please attack the mob with a 1 over their head and still no answer. Not sure if these are foreign players that do not understand english... It's annoying though! -_-
