The Phial of Fantasia is an item that you get for the first 30-day subscription, part of the veteran rewards. It allows you to remake your entire apperance and race, everything except name.

Are you sure you can change your race withe The Phial of Fantasia? I really want to change from Lalafell to something bigger. It's getting boring running around as a midget :P

Do we know if the phial will let us change names, if we change gender or race?

It has been confirmed that the phial does not allow a name change. Which is lousy for those that followed naming conventions and/or used a gender specific name.

What's frustrating to me is that, essentially, if we had AFK timers and a working login queue, we could probably afford to loosen restrictions on character creation.

I've been playing MMO's since EQ1 and I've never seen a developer outright tell customers "friends are not allowed to play together in our game."

My guild has been around for almost a decade, and some of us have played together for nearly that long. Two or three of us convinced about 30 people to buy the game, in order to play together. I'm annoyed, but not as angry as they must be, that they are not allowed to play with us. Two of them already canceled - they may check in again a few months later. Several others will not stick with the game if they are not permitted to play with their guild.

An MMO cannot function this way. Simply, no.

We've got quite a few guildies waiting for character creation to open up. BUt they opened Behemoth up, and that is a very populated server, so I am sure they are going down the line, slowly but surely. Doesn't mean the situation doesn't suck, but shows us a bit of hope ^___^
