Nope. I wish they would consider it, though. In lieu of an engaging combat system, Triple Triad would provide an enormously addictive distraction in the meantime that would keep old players and bring in new players.

Thanks for the reply, hopefully we'll get some word on if the community members have taken this idea to the dev team, and hopefully they know we aren't asking for this right away, but would hope this would be something considered down the line.![]()

A card game like Tetra Master or Triple Triad (or something new and fun, in card game form) would be a great feature for the team to add down the line. A card game in-game would give people yet another thing to spend their time doing in FFXIV. Communities could set up tournaments or events and give out cards as rewards for various things.
The means of obtaining cards can be varied as well. They could be bought (with gil) from NPCs in any given city or maybe even a roaming trader NPC. They could be obtained by killing certain monsters (maybe the card for THAT monster could be obtained that way). They could be given out as quest rewards, during events or from beating other players/NPCs. The only thing I'm against is paying $/crysta for them.
I know I would personally spend dozens of hours obtaining cards and playing a card game.
Excellent idea! Never was really of a tetra master card game person but if they make it online, multiplayer and tie it in with mob drops...i would definitely vote for thisXIV needs more player interaction.
