Some of these are good suggestions, others, not so much.
First, the good ones:
These are all good ideas that make a lot of sense, no further discussion necessary.- Auto-dismount when riding into city
- Add indicator to armory-chest that shows which items are part of a set (for sorting out materia-food and vendor-trash)
- Make cut-scenes on airships only play the first time you travel/make this an option
- Add map-markers
- Add chat-links to map-markers and items (thanks Tenku)
- Highlight recommended items for current class in the armoury-chest (thanks Besbeset)
- Add item-comparisons (side-to-side) (thanks Stamar)
- Add inventory-categories for consumables, crafting mats, etc. (thanks ViolanteVirides)
- Add a "sort inventory"-button (thanks Niklaus & Inuakurei)
- Add options for speech-bubbles (thanks Tenku & Niklaus)
- Implement a UI-scale slider** (thanks Stamar)
- "Maximum-amount" button (in vendors, bank, etc). Makes it so you don't have to type in the number.*
These, yeah; not such good ideas:
How hard is it to click the dismount button before using your skills? I've accidentally hit a skill while typing in my chat log, while riding, and I'm glad it didn't dismount me by mistake...- Auto-dismount on skill-use
The auto-dismount I agree with, but talking down to someone from up on a horse is rude. Chocobos also take up a lot of room, and many of the NPCs at Aetherytes are already quite crowded with people around them, last thing we need is 20 birds around an NPC.- Allow to talk to NPCs while mounted (or auto-dismount when talking to NPC, thanks Taliesin)
There's an easy solution to this: dismiss your minion! I get tired of seeing all the things running around, the 'cute factor' wears off really quickly. I wish the game didn't have 'em.- Make minions ignore right-clicks at all times (they get in the way when gathering for example) and ignore all clicks in combat
Nope. This is a TERRIBLE idea. The market board only lists the lowest 10 prices, whether they are individual or a stack; I don't want people to be able to quickly flood the market with items that are 1-gil cheaper than the ones before it, to where other people's products are pushed off the list. Imagine having 99 items, all at the same price, listed individually, constantly, whew.- Market Board should prompt "list items individually or as a stack" when selling stuff (thanks Tannlore)
Stack pricing is also always cheaper per unit than individual pricing; you are basically asking vendors to give up their ability to offer volume discounts, and that's not going to fly with the folks who actually put the stuff up on the board that you like to buy. I know it seems convenient, but it would wreck havoc with the economy to do so.
Lazy and non-immersive.- Auto-hand over of key-items to NPCs (thanks Stamar)
