Free company reputation

Hi,


I was wondering if anyone knew what affects your FC's reputation with the Grand Companies ? My FC is Flames-based but we have some Adders and Maelstroms as well and so I noticed that our standing was only increasing with the Flames... anyone would know why ?

We have encountered this issue as well, only one reputation gain even though there are several with other GC's in game...

Apart from actions, do you know in what else can we use free company seals?

You're only getting reputation from the Grand Company that your Free Company is currently allied to. You can switch your Free Company's allegiance to another Grand Company if you so choose, by speaking with the OIC rep at the GC in another city (e.g., if your FC is allied with Twin Adders, you can go to the OIC in Ul'dah or LL to switch to that one instead).

Once you change allegiance, you should be able to gain reputation with you new allied GC.

I'm not sure if this resets your FC's rank, or if it only affects reputation gains (or what those mean, if anything, outside of building FC Rank). You'll also note that you can only do certain actions, like put crests on your gear, at the OIC in the GC hall for the GC your FC is allied with.

Our free company reached level 5, my question is, how can i see how many credit does our FC has? I have the rights to use the FC credits, but i don't see it anywhere. How can we earn FC redit?

You should be see the current amount of credits you have to buy actions when you go to that interface. Currently, the only thing you can buy are actions with your credits, which are cheap enough if you have a fairly sizable free company (~20 people) in which gets you a constant flow of credit.

Does anyone know what exactly the reputation do for you?

Currently reputation with a certain nation will reduce the cost of actions by around 100-200 points per level of reputation you gain. Higher reputations give a -7% reduction cost to all aetheryte costs for that nation's area.

So as the leader of Tribe's Free Company I went to change our affiliation from Ul'Dah to Limsa Lominsa as we capped our rep with Ul'dah. When I went to change it there was a fee for 15k but more importantly the text reads "Your standing with that Free Company will drop but you will retain all items, actions and authorizations earned."


Anyone know if the standing of the FC to the GC drops back to a flat zero? What about the Rank? Does it go back to 1?
