I actually agree, crafting needs to be more interesting, SE please take a look at how Vanguard did crafting it was much more interactive and required you to use an action bar with various skills.

And after the 100th time it became an horrible timesink and chore. NO minigame in the world (at least for the vast majority of gamers) will ever resist the test of being repeated several thousands of times, no matter how elaborated and fun the first few times you try it.
Quite the contrary, the more complex and elaborated, the less it will resist the test of time, as it soon becomes a chore and a waste of time.

The good part about FFXIV's crafting minigame is that it's a good balance between complexity and simplicity.

If you're concerned with what people think of you playing any game, you probably care way too much what people think of you and I think we all know that's not true. I tell people all the time that I play FFXIV when it comes up and then correct the common misconceptions most gamers have about it.

I prefer a more engaging system for crafting than "Click start, walk away, done pass/fail."

I would be okay with them changing it, as long as it had some kind of mini-game. I'd prefer they took the time to make a fun mini-game for the crafting system as opposed to just being lazy and removing it all together.

Nope indeed XD but my guess is once it is unplugged and the capacitors are uncharged, there should not be any tension left in the system :O
Just a guess though, I don't plan on repairing a TV any time soon :P

He just bored he must have a PS3 and like PSN is down due to hacker attacking due to Sony not allow players to put on Linux which was sold like that they hack them and making them update the PS3 to allow players to put Linux and play ps2 games lol. So he just mad he have noting else to do i bet.

You know what funny? i made a topic about that mixing ffxi and ffxiv together to make it more fun guess what? everyone never look at it and pretty never got likes so SE may never see it.

I could fish for like 6 hours a day in FF11 and have fun the entire time, in this game I get bored after like 10 mins. Fish not being very useful/cooking not being very useful and gil being almost useless makes it a lot less boring as well, but it's mainly the minigame.

Make a new topic about it i want when we get the fish we have to fight it everything else stay the same. Just allow us to fight the fish by pressing left -- center -- right that what made fishing in ffxi fun.

@Visch what is there to play? i play for 5month of this game and now i reroll and waiting for this game to get good. Waiting for new battle and class system so i can play on my new char and learn everything and have fun at low level . Most do play they just get stand logging in more then 1hour to do leves.
