sorry fixes will be ready next week it says
If you add a "free" benefit to a sale, are you not promising more to bolster sales? Cmon now.
I really hope people can see how much money SE are making and maybe ease up on the sympathy.
"To address this matter, we are currently working on introducing new Worlds and enhancing the performance of the login and match making processes on both the Japanese and North American & European data centers. This operation is expected to be completed at the beginning of next week.
Until this operation is complete, we would like to prioritize the quality of service for those who have already purchased the game. Therefore, we are temporarily suspending the sale of the digital download versions of FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn. Once the operation has been completed, the sale of the digital download version will resume.
While the operation is in progress, we will continue to apply restrictions on both the creation of characters and the ability to log into the game. Throughout this time, we will be offering constant updates on the progress of the operation."
From their Facebook post. https://www.facebook.com/SquareEnix

It isn't a 'free' month, you get 'a month where you don't have to pay the subscription fee'. This isn't like a free trial where you can simply pick up the game and give it a try. You have to PAY for the game in the first place to get the month of 'free' play. You see where I'm going with this?"just accept they paid for a service they are being restricted from"
I'm as annoyed and pissed off as the next guy that they don't have afk boots or a real queue implemented. Those points I think are ridiculous and speak volumes of the poor management/development of the release.
However.... The first month of service is free. You haven't paid for any service yet.
If it takes them a month after you've subscribed to make the game playable for you, you can't play what you've paid for until you start paying more. You have indeed paid for that 'free' month. It's good business to call it that, it fools people into thinking they are getting more than what they paid for.
I feel like I'm the only Lalafell that followed standard naming conventions ._.
Looks like we have our answer.
