6 hrs. 50 mins. later and I'm still 1017'd despite 0 smashing at login screen.

Been a part of just about every other MMO launch. This one wins the prize. First the EU codes being handed out to NA purchasers(on you SE). Now I can't even log into the game I paid for because of this error. You just lost two more players. Was gonna sign up for a multi-month subscription. Not gonna happen. I believe in rewarding good customer service and good products. This game... so far... has neither good customer service or a good product(I can't even play it!!@). Good luck keeping customers after this fiasco. I know you'll survive but you won't get another dime outta me. Address your users concerns and communicate. I am not gonna pay to keep trying to login to the game over and ovver and over and over again. Too bad the game itself is pretty fun.

The problem IS all the idle players. I was on earlier and there were literally hundreds of people afk at the sanctuaries. SE, please institute an AFK kicker!!!!

Wrong, IMO. The problem is that SE didn't give the red-headed stepchildren enough servers. Yoshida can boo-hoo-hoo all he wants in public, but the fact is that SE has not even acknowledged the problem yet to their customers who paid money for the privilege of 1017 ad infinitum. Make a sticky in the Technical Support forum, or put a topic on the list in the launcher so that people can see that you actually care about your customers. I played FFXI from day one, and never got hit with anything like 1017, 90000, or 3102 - and half the time I played that game I was on 56K. Ten years later, with a comp that gets 7000+ on high settings, and an 80/35 mbps connection, I get 90000/3102 all over the place during beta 3/4, and now on release day, 1017gate. Unbelievable.

Looks like ff 14 is gonna fail....again. Can't get in! always says world is full. Lost a full day of my early access to that and se thinks people are going to pay to hardly be able to play? Think again! Looks like se cant even respond to their players posts. Lame company all they care about is money!
