People, people, those calling for this are utterly clueless .. 'bots exist to keep MMO toon 'active', you can use Logitech G keyboard macros to do it, hell you can even use a small piece of CARDBOARD to do it .. defeating idle kicks is totally trivial, you may get a warm and fuzzy feeling if such a feature existed but it's a placebo, it achieves NOTHING.

Not only would an AFK system improve the chances of active players logging in and enjoying their paid for service, the cleared out cities would improve performance for the active players. We have far too many people sitting in sanctuaries wasting space. I play primarily during the down time for these servers and they are literally LITTERED with inactive players sitting there.

The average player isnt familiar with how to set up a bot, and in doing so you will be violating the terms of use and could get banned. Cardboard did not prevent people from being kicked in games like world of warcraft. If you went idle during auto run, you still got kicked over time. This will achieve a lot.

NA Community team, you have to say or do something, this is SERIOUSLY costing you subscribers...I am trying to placate my friends as much as possible because they decided to get into ARR after hearing what I had to say about it...NONE of them can get in because of this bullshit fiasco, and some have already returned their copies to gamestop. Those who are saying they have a "right" to stay AFK for hours on end because they're "paying" can take their self-entitled attitudes and shove it.

Wouldn't it serve everyone better if they just petition for a server upgrade to allow it to handle the traffic without causing it to crash? That would be better then some temporary fix that wouldn't solve anything, the amount of players that AFK are severely outnumbered by the people who want to play, the crashes will still happen-
