Sick of White Knights?

I'm a single MMO'er,

I enjoy long nights leveling along the beach, I commit to one MMO at a time and I am quite dependable once I commit. I've had some long relationships in the past but nothing has really come along that grabbed my attention since I drifted apart from my last MMO.

I feel I'm ready to commit again. I know we have already had a relationship and you weren't exactly what I expected when we got together but I still saw the potential for a great relationship. Almost 3 years have past since then and you say you have grown up a bit, that you have changed. Well, I may be foolish for thinking this but maybe, just maybe, things will be different this time.

We have had a few dates here and there during that time so I'm beginning to see the MMO you are going to become. You're starting to look pretty darn cute! Sure you aren't perfect, that's what makes you so much fun! I know right now you are still in rehab so I'm willing to wait till the end of August when you graduate from the program, then we can start going together on a more regular basis. I want to help you grow and I hope you can be the best MMO that you can be.

IMO Whiteknights are the ones who attack others for being upset or frustrated. The issue is they're not letting people speak their views and opinions, not what exactly those views and opinions are.

Best exemplified with "Don't pay" "Leave" "Good we don't need you' "You people are toxic"

Ending in the lovely and ironic : "Our gaming community will be better without negative people like you around"

The term white knight is dumb and not even accurate. These people are just sycophants who will suck up regardless of what happens and praise anything with no standards.

I'm not sure which extreme type of player/poster is worse for a game and more annoying: The haters who will be critical of anything and can never be pleased, or the sycophants who (if it was up to them) would have us still be playing 1.0 because everything is always good and fine and nobody should ever be critical, dislike something, or have any standards.

It's really amazing though. The fact that so many "white knights" exist in this community and have been defending the horrible mess since 1.0 is really a testament to SE's ability to build a passionate fan base.
