Thinly veiled, my friend. I can see right through you.I don't think you know what white-knighting means. I think its becoming a buzzword. I think SE needs to get their shit together and fix the issues, before people new to MMOs lose confidence. I personally, however, can handle a few issues the first month since I'm used to it. White-Knighting is when someone acts like their the person protecting [insert entity/person] from all of the people bad-mouthing it. As you can see, I'm not white-knighting. I'm simply annoyed with how little actual discussion happens on these boards.
Besides, what else is there to discuss? Nobody can play unless they start over on a JP server.

I unforunately can't get on at the moment either and hopefully that will be fixed soon seeing as the game is out now. O__O However, I've been able to play about 30% of the time during early access and there was always a ton of people on. There's plenty to discuss. In fact, we can discuss our feelings about the errors. If you see my first post you'll notice that I actually encourage people to talk about the errors as long as its in general discussion and they're actually discussing. My issue with the current state of things is that nobody allows real discussion. One person posts congratulating the game's release and every reply is about login issues. Keep that to its own thread which already exists. Besides, the jokes have already been overdone and its only been two days.
Frustration and dissapointment. SE hasn't been doing a good job communicating with the players, and haven't disclosed any of the details. No status updates, no root causes, no plan of action, nothing.

I definitely understand the frustration and disappointment, but trust me from experience, a couple months from now if you actually enjoy the game itself, you'll be plenty happy. I personally have always gone through life thinking, "How will I feel about this in ten years?" In ten years I won't give a shit that they had a lot of problems in this game the first month. As for "no status updates, no root causes, no plan of action, nothing" i have to disagree with you. I'm not sure you've been looking. The launcher has constant updates. They made a twitter account specifically for news about issues being worked on. Yoshida and the dev team have made several posts about the issues and ensured everyone their working on it. I'm sure nothing is going to work perfectly for a while. It's just how things go. No sense getting riled up about it though. Going by japan's standards for employment I'd wager the team hasn't slept much anyway. :P

I have an idea. why not make a "bitching" section in the forums? that way, all the people who want to constantly bitch will have a rightful place.
Every online game have the same problem on the first day.
But none of them drive out their customer to another server and call it a solution.
I don't know how you play MMO game.
Some may never have a friends at all.
And look for make a lot of brand-new friends in this game.
In that case, you can play on any server just fine.
But for some people, They do have a friends, And they want to play together.
That's why character limitation on some server are the problem for them.
