Who are we to judge others, without judging ourselves.....
SE, please put a queue back. Even if its out of 2000+ it would still be better then 1017 for the love of the human race. I'm a patient person for something good. Your game is awesome the server issues I'm sure you didn't quite forecast what NA/EU pop would actually be. Your faced with a huge interest and lots of $$ to be made here. LETS FOCUS AND GET IT DONE RIGHT! I JUST WANT A QUEUE THAT'S ALL WITH MY OWN # OUT OF 1,000,000 I DON'T CARE GIVE ME A NUMBER EXCEPT 1017!
Haven't played for two days now, this is bull sh*t! It may not seem all that long but I'm debating on playing ARR after 1.0 failed. At this rate if I do not get to play before PTP, my decision will be easy.
It normally wouldn't this is because of SE "severe restrictions".Then as I said before they did some piss poor math on how many they are letting into the que in the first place. It should know how many people are already on the server and how many it can even let into the que. It shouldn't let you into the que and then boot you after the servers gets full again. That defeats the purpose of even having a que. That's why I don't believe that is what is happening.
Keep this going we need to hit 1000 pages lol. Just for a decent memory.
If we are lucky they will close down the NA/EU servers and save themselves money and grief and release us from our misery.
Here's a FACTUAL argument for you: The servers can handle MUCH more traffic than what has been trying to log in; Square-Enix has been intentionally limiting the logins, yet for some reason they thought it was a good idea to push the launch day to one day earlier. Here's another fact: I personally know people in the gaming industry, what they go through in developing a game, and what kind of schedule they have to work up to release. Now stop being an ignorant fool and stop acting like you're the only adult here. All you're doing is showing how big of a tool you are.
More FACTS: "An Apology to Our Players Using NA/EU Data Centers
On behalf of the FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn Development Team, I would like to extend my deepest apologies to those Early Access participants who have had difficulty using the NA/EU data centers.
In response to a variety of issues, we have conducted emergency maintenance several times over the past few days. The first instance, which was conducted six hours following the beginning of early access, was for the purpose of addressing the errors 90000 and 3000, which were first discovered during phase 4 of the beta test.
Our server team then began taking measures to improve the performance of the lobby and duty finder servers. The subsequent emergency maintenance was necessary to implement their changes.
This maintenance proceeded as planned, and afterwards we verified that the stability of instanced battles and the duty finder was much improved. However, we then discovered that certain lobby servers had been improperly configured, and we were forced to conduct another brief maintenance to resolve this issue.
Although we have successfully addressed a number of serious issues in the past several days, we have nevertheless decided to implement login restrictions for the time being due to the extremely heavy load being placed upon the servers. In this way, we can ensure that the maximum number of players can play the game without risking a server crash. I know no one wants to wait to log in, but I hope you all understand why we believe this precaution is necessary.
Once again, I would like to sincerely apologize to all our players who have been unable to enjoy Early Access due to the tremendous congestion, the ensuing issues, and the frequent maintenance.
Everyone on the development and operations teams is dedicated to providing the best possible experience for our customers, and we will continue to do our utmost to resolve the remaining and any future issues.
FINAL FANTASY XIV Producer/Director, Naoki Yoshida"

To take it even further, one should never log directly into the server, bypassing the queue in the first place. That defeats the purpose of having the queue. Everyone should log in to the queue, and then move down it to log in to the server. This way, it stays as a true FIFO routine, and no one gets the Full Server Message. Then as I said before they did some piss poor math on how many they are letting into the que in the first place. It should know how many people are already on the server and how many it can even let into the que. It shouldn't let you into the que and then boot you after the servers gets full again. That defeats the purpose of even having a que. That's why I don't believe that is what is happening.
Now, there could maybe be a message about the queue being full or something I guess, if there is a capacity issue with the log--but that's a whole different animal than what is happening now.

Regarding Character Creation and Login Restrictions (Aug. 26)
In order to prevent server outages due to login and world congestion, we are currently closely monitoring server loads and making adjustments to both character creation and login limits as needed.
As we approach the peak North American play hours, the North American and European servers listed below in will have their login restrictions adjusted with particular scrutiny in order to ensure a pleasant play experience for all players.
As we continue to monitor the situation, we will be allowing players to log in sequentially. This will unfortunately have the effect of causing wait times for logins to these worlds, but this is a necessary step for the sake of server stability, and we ask for your understanding and patience during this time.
Additionally, character creation restrictions are currently in place for the following worlds:
Behemoth
Sargatanas
Diabolos
Gilgamesh
Leviathan
Balmung
Excalibur
Hyperion
Tonberry
Mandragora
Bahamut
Chocobo
In the event of any changes in the situation, follow-up news posts will be posted here as well.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and once again thank you for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
Ridiculous. Played about 7 hours over a span of 3 days. This is very disappointing for a company that has at multiple MMO launches before. Just sad. Should be ashamed.

Sooo, does this mean we're stuck with 1017 for the forseeable future? This maintenance proceeded as planned, and afterwards we verified that the stability of instanced battles and the duty finder was much improved. However, we then discovered that certain lobby servers had been improperly configured, and we were forced to conduct another brief maintenance to resolve this issue.
