At first, I was happy to have received the CE code. But 1 miss-step caused me a heachache... I don't want to wait 2 weeks just for them to look at the issue and then fixing it!

Oh yes! This thread will be as hot as hell. That webpage lacks the proper guidance for code registration. Where is SE when you try to contact them, hmm?
I did this as well. I spent 2 hours waiting for chat support only to be told that there were no agents available for chat once my number came up, and afterwards submitted the proper form.
I imagine that what they mean is that your subscription status (as in, auto-renewal, complete with payment information) will be lost, not your 30 days. That's me trying to be an optimist, however, and as someone totally unwilling to believe that, at launch, they'd remove the 30 days given to new players because of their own poor web design and unclear service registration.
Go here to fix your registration. Same rules apply (2 weeks) but it's meant for that specific issue.
