What they need is a translator with some sense. An apology like that works in Japan because it has more meaning, closer to groveling, they need someone who can translate it to cover the meaning not just word for word.
That wouldn't really work, because it's still an apology from a Japanese person that is used to apologizing to other Japanese people. "I'm sorry you guys can't play our game. We're trying to make it so you can play" can only be translated in so many ways, and the base meaning behind the words won't be enough to calm everybody down.
