This is where I point my finger at Square Enix and go POOR MANAGEMENT, I mean seriously who only have one weekend of OBT before actually "releasing" the game for this "early access". If you ask me someone really didnt plan things thru, they should have had AT LEAST 2 weekends of OBT that would have addressed these issues we are having further, but what bugs me even more is we had just a taste of this same issue during OBT so why would they not have already received the equipment and imaged them for the bigger crowds. Also find it convenient that the GM support and SE support goes down when we need them the most.....

Honestly, the entire point of Beta is to iron out these types of issues. Early Access is supposed to be that, not another round of Beta. It's acceptable for problems to exist, they always will, but it's not acceptable for them to exist for two days straight and have nearly no solution, and to top it off above all else, no communication, and just "It's borked. Yeah," from the company.

Is this stuff going to be fixed in 24 hours? I honestly doubt it, and the, "It's an MMO launch," really is not an acceptable excuse and people need to stop making excuses for failures.

Just curious as to why i can get onto the JP servers just fine? but yet i havent been able to get onto a NA server in over. . 7hours? If you're going to fix something, then f*ckin fix it, don't put a bandaid on it and say "we'll see"...these are the EXACT same f*cking issues we had in phase 4, and the sad part is that this is an awesome game, it's been years since i sat down and actually leveled something in anything. Sorry, but your customer support and tech support for the NA/EU worlds is junk SE, should've had this sh*t worked out weeks ago, not while people who PAID for early access are stuck wondering WTF, with no type of information coming out of SE except "another maintenance". . "severe log in restrictions". . "ah sh*t...another maintenance." . . .

It's going to get worst on the 27th of August. It'll be fix no doubt probably this week at best. This isn't the first time I've dealt with this issue from a mmorpg at release.

I assume it's probably not as crowded as it is on NA/EU servers. It would be nice if they had NA and EU servers in separate categories like how WoW has it.

Preeeetty much copy-pasting what I was telling someone else:

I'm at the point where I'm asking myself "why should I even bother paying for a game where my login is restricted? Should I really be paying a monthly fee to *maybe* get a shot at logging in, assuming someone else on the server is unlucky enough to disconnect, or finally decides to log off?

I understand this won't be the situation forever, but this sure as hell won't be fixed in an instant. SE's answer of "we'd prefer it if you played in a less populated server" is pretty backwards, because people chose servers for the sake of playing with people they knew, or otherwise wanted to play with.

Early Access wasn't supposed to be Beta Phase 5, it was supposed to be "you're pretty much starting the game out a few days early, but this is pretty much the game through actual release".

So yeah, I'm pretty iffy about this whole situation given those points.

I mean, sure, I might be getting a month free for being legacy (and even then, I haven't actually confirmed this, just hear-say) but if SE actually bothered doing better stress tests during their betas, or hell, maybe doing this weeks beforehand so it wouldn't happen less than 5 days to launch! They didn't bother preparing, and now we have to sit here and get by with "we ask for your understanding".

Nah, man. Not the answer you should be giving.

At this point I'm rambling, and I'll wait it out and see how things progress. If things don't get better (though, you know, they should), then I really will re-evaluate my sub eventually.

If it gets fixed because they get more hardware as the previous posters have said than that would be great. If its better because over half the population has given up on the game then that's unfortunate for SE.

It left a bad taste in my mouth when I learned that some people got their money back AND a free complementary copy of the game just because they could not get into three days of early access when a better choice could have been made that would benefit all. But what's done is done.

A bad taste in your mouth? That's completely unfair to everyone who digitally bought it up on PC, maybe even ppl who preordered physically. Call me jealous or whatever, but it bullshit that they're giving a free complementary game AND a refund to PSN ppl. What makes them better than pc ppl at all? And tons of ppl (pretty much like me probably) Own a PS3 but prefers to play MMOs on PC. To hell that they couldn't/won't be able to play EA, I don't call playing like 3 hours for the whole weekend cause of errors, bugs, crashes, maintenance, login limitations or whatever they/the game threw at us, as playing the EA at all.

As I said, jealous or not, this is fu***** bullshit, and yeah i'm pretty pissed, my patience's running low and I really believe they should come with a workaround for all of us who preordered for the EA (as most ppl stated, a moogle cap and a caith sith doll's not enough for a preorder, we're all here for EA)... Even if they just give us like 3~5 days of extra free time without having to pay a sub, at least that's something and it shows that they care even if a little...

Ps: I did love the game, don't misunderstand me, which is btw why the hell i'm complaning so much, cause I just can't play at all... Also, sorry about the 'bad manners' didn't mean to troll or anything, it's just that... wtf?!
