Should I give up on trying to play today?

I gave up a long time ago. Though an alternate solution if you're really fiending to play is to create a character in the JP datacenter and play from there. Yes it's a hinderance to the progression of your main character, but at least you'll get the opportunity to mess around and stuff. There's a little lag, but better to have lag than the server full, at least for right now.

The "Ifrit Eruption" people, or the "Fall Damage" people would beg to differ but ...eh.

i'm giving up right now actually. I'll try tomorrow but this guy has Med class in the morning and I very much doubt anyone will want to see a tired med student. Will try again tomorrow

there are a few JP servers with all NA english ppl on em cause of error 1017
