Has anyone thought about the following:

Servers were originally in Japan because that is where SE is headquartered. Most likely, they owned the servers/datacenter that was running the game.

When everyone complained about 'lag' they opted to add NA servers. Now, it's not very likely that they would go through the planning/development to run their own datacenter in NA. So, they're renting space from a 3rd party.

Anyone want to bet that the problems, especially since they're only on NA servers are due to a THIRD PARTY and are outside of SE's immediate control?

Yeah, you may blindly decided to defend every decision made. Cheers for you. However you might want to take your own advice. You have to admit the lack of foresight on SE's part. Sticking two huge regions like NA, and EU on limited/less servers than JP is just asking for trouble.
