    At this point i don't know if i even going to play this game at ps3 release, everything so far seem to be making it more like wow. FFXIV was going to be a game that you could leave your old mmo for and join something new not the mass amount of wow clone out there. Even if there trying to make this game casual does not matter sense when is Final Fantasy game casual? they could make this game casual and make it 100x fun then wow and rift put together. problem is right now this game is even casual then rift and wow put together even aion was pain in the ass to level at release.

    I'll wait for ps3 release and when this game goes P2p and check on update and talk on here too then if i see it pointless and it not going to be a game i though it was back in E3 then i just wait to it get better.

    Its funny the FFXIV I'm playing hasn't had any of the major changes planned so I can't comment on the direction the game has taken but if you're saying that a few rank 30 NMs have turned this game casual then I would hope you don't think that's all the content they have planned.

    It’s not even about the low level NM they added. It’s about the Dungeon/raid Idea, If it’s the same as WoW that you enter fight few boss and win the dungeon it won’t be that fun. I hoping more of a system around the lines of You enter the Dungeon The map is blank. They be rooms you enter and Mobs to fight and chest to open and boss to fight. You have to fight your way around this Blank map and when you move around the map start to clear up and you can see where you have gone and where have you not yet been.
    They be floors and each dungeon is more challenging then the last one you did. Every time you enter the same dungeon again the layout would change to make it more challenging is more new so it does not look like you doing the same thing over and over again They can even add NM that could random pop on each floor but there rare pops. The floors would work someone like Nyzul isle but you be going DOWN because this is a dungeon. You have to figure stuff out and figure out some puzzle. Not all Dungeons need to be lot’s of floors , Seeing how Yoshi-p said they be two type of system. 4men and 8man set up where 4men is more casual it’s much easier less planning you have to do on your part pretty easy set up , you can win without a buff class. You could have 3floors for this type of dungeon very easy fun and very rewarding and still have that challenge we all looking for. 8men team would need a set up planning and time to do you have to Figure out more challenging floors and hard puzzle and a great challenge. Something that would take time to plan, set up and do. This by all means does not have to mean that casual are out of doing this type of dungeon they just need to do them when they have more then and if not they can do the 4men team and get good reward just like the 8men team.

    If this is the system or something close to this is what SE would be releasing with dungeon/raid then i agree on this. Maybe Dungeon is 4men and Raid is what they call 8 men. So if your casual you can do 4men and if your hardcore and have more time you can do raids. At the end this does not mean that casual can't do raids it just mean if they like to join then would need more then 1hour of gameplay to do.

    Which i think everyone can enjoy and maybe it be a fun game and not a wow or ffxi copy.

    I think we can all agree this would be the best and fun way of doing this dungeon they can do it even better then what am thinking. But if players dislike this idea and just want the old dungeon type like wow then there no hope for this game if that how far your minds can do with games. I'll would say go play wow or rift and wait for blizzard new mmo because it seem that all your brains can understand in a mmo. I for one want FFXIV to be something new not something that been used over and over. i hope the dungeon there doing is not wow type with just a few change here and there i want a new system something along the lines i said.

    Edit: "quick note that me and my gf was talking about" Something does not need to be 3-6hours to do even WoW raids can take a long time look at ffxi einherjar. Something short 30mins it fun and it's pretty hard if you don't do them right. I think we can all agree coming from a hardcore player i say this einherjar and what i said above are great ideas how FFXIV can be casual be still have that challenge that is known for as Final Fantasy. Now what happen to FFXIV? guidleves and behest are no where near Einherjar Fun and challenge if they could make that into ffxiv i would enjoy it even casual can join even the NM are Jokes 3-5mins pop ok i can deal with that but there just like other mobs with high HP they don't even have there own attack that only that NM can do. What happen to 10.000 needles they could make the gobs have a super Bomb toss the bombs mobs could blow up and pop small bombs and attack you. Stuff like this can be a challenge and very casual so a 3-5mins pop can be at least 30min or less fight even that Casual Look at serket i fight that with me and my gf very fun and challenge NM and you have to kill her under 30mins they could make the pop time 1hour i don't care as long as it meet up to serket "Note: Serket before the level cap". Now if you say NM should be easy and 10min kill then i don't know what to tell you guys lol you guys just want to play a online game just for the hell of it. I dislike players who play a game and does not even read the storyline -.- that type of player i don't play with that just how i feel.

    Wall-of-texts aside, Yoshi and Co. need to start developing this game with a clear 'vision' or 'philosophy'. A motley combination of contradictory features never pleases anyone.

    Just woke up, dont feel like typing much, but the way I see it is:

    1. Yoshi is not the one who personally created this game as it was/is. He is stepped into and taken over another person's vision and is, for the time being, trying to fix the "mess" left behind. At least let him fix the game up to standard first, before lambasting him about his lack of direction for this game, etc.

    2. The are a lot of *things* everyone wants from this game/its devs Gift. Making post after thread after post, complaining and demanding that you want, want, want, and NOT making constructive critism, valid contributions on what needs to be changed (be it features in game, or attitudes of developers) will not get you what you want. Im pretty sure the devs have enough on their plate trying to fix issues and get a new direction (hopefully) without yet another post/thread calling them out on it in unfair manner (it seems to me)

    3. Finally - I do agree with that fact that there IS vague direction as of now, though, like I said before, the devs are probably still trying to fix/change shit up with the core of the game first, before focusing on what THEY want to bring to the game to steer the direction. Yoshi P has already given an indication of how he envisions the game to be though. He says he wants it to be like a themepark with a lot of options to pick and choose from. I take from this that he want the game to be vast, with more things to do than possibly FFXI and WoW ( the only two MMOs Ive played enough of)!

    So basically, my advice is... sit tight, wait till the game is in an agreeable state, and if it seems like they are still lacking direction, then put your two cents (pennies, euros, whatever) in, but worded better please.

    Okay, next time i'll just sit back like a mute until it's too late, if that's what you really want. Heaven forbid I question SE (and specifically Yoshi) on any of their (or his) choices. The nerve! How dare I see mixed messages and crossed signals and ask for some clarifcation as to the lack of direction and uglifying concessions of artistic integrity that SE has made.

    This quest for appeasement just has to end now. We all know the game is riddled with badly implemented concepts. But a mistake in implementation has a myriad of different fixes. The problem isn't that they aren't fixing problems, it's that Yoshi & Co only ever choose the simplest, most generic, most WoW/FFXi style fix they can find. And quite frankly I find their behaviour inappropriate. To say the least.

    If they are trying to revert the game back into the dinosaur era, don't you think that's something they should run by the public first?
