New Fix lock people out of the servers error 1017?

Shout out to my buddy Smitten Kitten, who got stuck with me on duty "Oh Captain, My Captain"/Baldewyn and decided to log out at the same time.

Error 1017'd and probably won't get back in for a while.

They said "See you in 30 minutes", but it's probably going to be a loooot longer. lol

I can understand MMO growing pains, even long queue times. At least then I know I'm in line to eventually get in. I can understand errors happening preventing the server from staying online, but never in my history of MMO gaming have I had a login message that basically says "screw off, we're full". I'm not the type to get mad at login problems, but it pisses me off to no end that other people are playing a game that I have just as much right to play as the next, yet I can't, because "lol, full".

Seem like the only solution is to create character on JP server..

I don't understand? Are there any updates somewhere? The only thing I've seen so far is that Square Enix is aware of the full worlds and that they are imposing log-in restrictions.

This issue has been here all day and then another update says that they are keeping the login restrictions because at launch even more people will try to log in and play?

So it will get even worse from tuesday on? Generally we won't be able to play till ...? Someday? What's the deal? :s

I remember a bunch of people created a Lalafell on a JP server and marched from Gridania to Ul'Dah during P4 when NA/EU went down. Anyone want to do that? I can't make threads because my level's not high enough, and of course, I'm getting locked out by 1017 so I can't change that.

Even if we are just chilling, we could all start new characters in Ul'Dah on Tonberry server or something.

Only solution i see is for you to be quiet if this is your solution, so let me get this straight, after 30 mins to 1 hour of gameplay you want us to be logged off? im sorry thats a very stupid idea, i doubt anyone would want that, well i know i wouldnt want that, im too much of an addict that loves playing this game.

I think he mean if your afk like standing in 1 spot for 30-60 mins you will be kicked out from game. or after few mins get afk status and if dont move from while in afk status after some time get kicked out.

The login restriction is the reason why we are see the "full world" message. It's a restriction SE imposed for the purpose of optimizing the Duty Finder. The restriction will be gradually lifted.
