QUEUE is Failing / Error 1017

don't log in too many times with that error though or it'll lose the character server for around 5 minutes, leaving you to restart the client again and again until it works and you're back to error 1017

the little box telling you "the world is full" could be a bit politer or continue trying until there is an opening... but it leaves you to do all the work. It's really poor. Funny but poor.

if this error goes to launch, well... goodbye FF14 (again) we hardly knew ya... no matter how much most will stick by it, the damage would have been done and since this is their second time around, i doubt people will be "as" patient. :-/

i'm guessing they may have already lost half the console gamers before launch even begins, simply, as not many will be used to this level of MMORPG service that PC gamers are more than used too. Worse if this heads into a third day (The JP servers/data centres seem to be holding up the best)

Error 1017, either no queue and straight to 1017 or there is no NA/EU server list. Has been happening ALL DAY.

Albus Lupus, Behemoth. Been getting the same, some times before I even get to the character selection screen. Some times the NA/EU server list is unavailable, or will queue up only to get error 1017 again.



Update: Been trying to on for over 9 hours, server list is no longer glitching. However still getting 1017, Still hopeful it will be fixed. Will try again in the morning, good luck everyone. Check here for updates: https://twitter.com/FFXIV_NEWS_EN

same error here, but for people who are saying they will stop playing because of the errors that will be fixed, pls just why are you that impatient and nervous chill out a bitt, what you won't play a game in the next couple of years because these copuple of days you couldnt log in??? lol, just chilax peeps, no rush to the end of the world man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! run arround your room a bit or go and find someone to sleep with

Being this close to the official launch and having so many people pre-order the game, constant errors that keep PAYING customers from enjoying a service they have paid for can and will kill a new game dead in it's tracks. There shouldn't be this many errors with logging in. With the amount of MMO's that have come and gone, you would have thought that extensive research had been done on how to avoid such errors.

I LOVE the FF series, I'm addicted to WoW and D3, I've played in MANY MMO betas and have NEVER been this frustrated, nor have I seen this many errors keeping people from playing for such an extended period of time. If I owned a restaurant and you came in and ordered a $15 plate of food and I gave you a plate that looked like a horse took a $HIT on it, would you still eat it? No, you'd walk out furiously, demanding your money back. THIS is what people are doing. We PAY to PLAY, if we CAN'T we see it as a huge waste of money and it WILL drive people away.

Simple question: If you can't play the thing they want you addicted to and paying for, how can you get addicted to it?
