One word..Why did they insist on only 3 days of open beta, even when their beta was NOT stable? Seriously their is no excuse for that, the mess we see here today is SE being cheap, lazy, and over-confident with their product during the beta test. Now on launch days where people have paid exclusively for 3 days of early access(only reason i re-bought the game) we have major issues.
Thanks SE!
edit: Thread Focus:
1.) Duty Finder broken even after 6hrs of maintenance today
2.) Errors we have seen all too many times in beta p4 (90000 etc)
3.) Major Quest NPCs are broken (talk to an NPC that ports you to a story instance and u r SOL)
4.) World is full, please try again BS (error 1017); really a que is too hard to implement properly?
Obama.

Two days 'till the reviews start pouring in.
Clock's tickin'.
Final Maintenance 14....

The only thing I have a real problem with is the fact that I can't help but feel that if they would have ran Beta 4 on the 9th most of this would have been solved by now. Would have given them a little more time to beef up the servers and test all that out on Early Access.
“ Free the world, not by taking men’s lives, but by taking their tongues.”

lol this thread is hilarious. SE didn't "drop the ball" on anything. It's an awesome MMO that's having launch issues just like every other MMO has had.
The only more ridiculous thing I've seen in my roughly 18ish years of MMO gaming is the amount of whining on the Neverwinter boards during all of that game's launch problems - and that's a totally free to play game haha. So, essentially, people were complaining they couldn't get into their free game. I'd wager roughly the same thing is happening here: most of the people complaining didn't actually pay anything EXTRA to get into Early Access, you just paid earlier. I know there may be some wrinkles with the legacy players, but for the most part, the money thing is being blown out of proportion.
In closing, the game is awesome![]()

Shut it, white knight. This sort of attitude of yours is the most counter productive shit that there's been around here since the betas. All feedback in the beta forum was always overshadowed by this insane boot-licking bunch, and I've no doubt more than one issue has been overlooked (such as the ones we're experiencing now) just because of this ridiculous kind of fanboy that was always spewing that "everything's just fine" and that "SE better not be listening to all these nay-sayers!". We're at launch already, and experiencing game-breaking issues that have yet to be resolved after 4 3-hour "emergency maintenances", yet these people complain about anybody who's rightfully complaining about this stuff? SE needs to be aware of the gravity of these issues, not to have their boots licked.
Yes, I know I may be going a little over the top now, but this kind of attitude just pisses me off to no end.
A white knight is the sort of people who, against all odds, will defend an individual or a company for no reason whatsoever, even if said individual/company were to be screwing them over. In essence, mindless boot-lickers. And yes, yes you did; that attitude of yours and the rest of the white knights around these parts sickens me.

Klefth - what is a white knight? And you seem rather angry with my response; did I perhaps hit a nerve?
Edit: And is that a picture of you crying? Don't be sad - try another hobby for the time being, perhaps? Maybe the Dota 2 servers are up right now.
There is no game that has or ever will exist that i should pay for CE twice just to be slapped with unpreparedness by a company i used to love.
this isnt an opinion just reality speaking. (some poor soul deleted the whole thread i posted this on originally)

From SE's letter today "From several users on some of our more congested Worlds, we have received requests for a feature which automatically logs out characters who are AFK for an extended period of time. We are actively looking into the implementation of such a feature, but have decided to first concentrate our efforts on increasing the number of Worlds and optimizing the Duty Finder servers."
So what about Legacy? What about the thousands waiting to play with friends on a legacy server? What this tells the community is that you guys are going to let problems persist on Legacy servers while brand new players will have an easier time....
That's not treating loyalty very well.
Their efforts should be SOLELY to increase server CAPACITY, # of worlds is not a fix.
