Whats the point of headstart for EU players?

I hate to bash, but you my ill informed friend are incorrect....
Early access was a part of the price for pre ordering so no matter how you look at it we did pay.

So you paid above the normal game price to pre-order? If so, you must be shopping at the wrong place.

You pre-ordered a game that releases on Tuesday, August 27th. As a bonus to people that pre-ordered you are being given access (as spotty as it may be) to the game in advance of that August 27th date. You did not pay extra to pre-order the game. You did not pay extra to get the Early Access.

I'm not trying to be mean or rude, but reality is no one paid for Early Access.

No idea why EU/NA servers are even clustered together, split them up and add more EU servers. Half a dozen for the EU community Vs 20 or more for everyone else is an insult.

I see what your doing but its not working, just about everygame release has a headstart/early access they might call it a bonus but it has become a staple for every mmo and no matter how you or anyone want to twist words people *are* paying for early access aswell as the items it is why we give money up front. I could completely understand this if it was beta but its not and its their fault for not testing server loads further in phase 4.

I still love the game for what it is, but SE should have been a little more ready im not saying flawless trust me but after 1.0 they had some shoes to fill and i am just sad to see them in this predicament.

Early access, no matter how to twist the words to make it sound like a bonus, is always included in the price of the game when you pre-order. So yes you did pay for it, as you paid for the game or made a down payment for the game(5 bucks of the actual price or so) to your retailer if that is there policy. I've been part of many MMO launches including a few games more popular then ARR right now and they managed to at least allow people to log in. Early access for NA/Eu has really been a fiasco and yes compensation for that is in order. Does not have to be big though, maybe a week of non payed playing time extra, perhaps some in game items etc. Could be anything.

Also, yes I do understand these things happen and a little down time is always expected.

also..on a side note.. what happened to the queue? budget cuts?

I hope SE gives us proper compensation for downtimes (free game time, dont need items), preferably free game time untill server problems are COMPLETELY fixed. If not, then i will wait with registering the retail code untill it is fixed. I would suggest others to do the same, but if they do, it may give SE an illusion of problems magically vanishing.

For now, early access looks like another beta. A paid beta.

People who think that EA is a free bonus should reconsider. It was included in the transaction, so we DID pay for it. And the biggest additional price was BLIND purchase, since we could have tried to find a cheaper price, or just wait for every launch issue to be fixed.

To everyone arguing that early access is a gift, blah blah blah, I owned the CE of 1.0.

I PAYED for a BRAND NEW copy of 2.0 just to get early access. That is literally the ONLY reason I purchased it. I get the game for free and all of the collector's items.

And many people did the same thing. I understand them having issues. But having 4 maintenances to fix it is a bit ridiculous. And the fact that I can't log in and play because they don't have a queue for the servers is stupid. Limiting the number of people that can log in is one thing, but right now it's a guessing game. It makes me feel like amateurs are working on this. Like it's some cheap f2p game.
