The bot i found that SE wont do anything about

or what you can do is multi layer your chat window. I have 2 tabs. One is for LS,party,and Tells
The other is for Battle , crafting , /s and /shouts , and NPC text. ill post a pick of how it looks.

This is how my Chat looks with the added TAB you can make another tab
1st open menue
2nd goto config
3rd goto chat
4th goto 2.
5th make it how you want ( add in or take away filters)
6th click the enable TAB box
7th your done

the thing is people dont get banned for no reason

theres always a reason but people feel they are always innocent too

look at the people justifyinbg actual botting earlier in this thread
or all the people who buy rmt gold

all of them justify it too and whine when they get in trouble for it

Vedis, I will assume that a small minority not the majority break the rules of the game and they will proclaim their innocence much like rl criminals. I think your point, if I'm wrong please correct me, is that you are saying everyone that gets banned is innocent and therefore SE is wrong. I for one do not know anyone that was banned for a time and come back saying it was crap. Every person I know banned came back and said they were wrong in what they did and learned their lesson to not break rules. Which I think is very lenient of SE to let them back after breaking a rule. SE doesn't want to ban players. They want us as customers. They are not going to ban you unless you do something wrong. There are exceptions of course but I think you are just trying to validate some sort of nonsense I don't understand.

i have a chat window just for chat dialogue, for the reason that i dont like missing messages
very easy to do, and the fact you can MOVE the chat box to where you can see it and do stuff in another window isnt hard to do either

So then its not hard to miss a LS message , or a tell sence it in a different window. So ou can craft watch a movie look over see a message and go ok. : )

Also i think Spoting a crafting bot is sorta easy. If you see someone crafting non stop. then you see them idol in the crafting stance for 45 mins or 4 hours im sure its a bot and it ran out of mats. Because i know if i crafted for 5 or 6 hours non stop when i was done i would get up and walk off somewhere log out or /sit and sell some stuff wile i was AFK

Being in the stance suddenly after nonstop crafting is suspicious, but I will admit that I have fallen asleep while crafting before. =( Are people going to think I'm a bot because I fell asleep in the crafting pose? I don't think that's a completely fair indication.

I was reading some of this forum and on the topic of crafters watching movies and such while crafting. It is their responsibility to be able to respond if a GM comes calling. Personally, I think people should always respond while crafting because why are you playing a social game and not being social? It's so disheartening when I see someone crafting and I start talking to them, only they say nothing. Then I wait til their synth is done, thinking that it may be hard and that's why then didn't respond. Then when they stop it's like time stops, waiting anxiously for them to say something...only to start another synth....

Just like with sexual intercourse, if you are not interested in having a baby or willing to deal with the consequences/responsibilities of having a child, you shouldn't do it. If you as a player are not ready to deal with the consequences of acting like a bot, then maybe you shouldn't do it. You do not have to watch a movie while you craft, and you do not need to craft while watching a movie. That is a player's choice. The text box information should definitely help people in that situation. I myself watch movies on occasion while crafting, but I never miss tells while crafting. It's not demanding enough for me not to respond to people. I still pay attention to my synths because I want them to succeed.

P.S. I think maybe GMs who are reported to about possible bot activity should go to the supposed offender and observe. If they have suspicions I think they should reduce the durability of their primary tool/weapon etc to 0%. Then continue to observe. As they most likely begin to fail synths or constantly missing, I wonder what sort of things they would observe?
