I think players are reporting the bots they see. I wish there was an easier way to report though.

Well true, to elimate every single bot is near impossible.

Failing that, why not every single person report every (suspected) bot they see? we know what to look for, we can pass that info on. My point is, if SE see that the players consider this a strong issue, they will see more reason to act strongly against it.

So, why not report the next (suspected) bot you see in-game? (btw, that question is for everyone lol)

Seeing obvious bots no actioned has a chilling effect on reporting.

Part of their strategy is to make it difficult to report. The GMs obviously don't even have time to investigate the reports they do get, which are a fraction of those they would get if STF reports could be filed in-game. They just don't want to hear it. Who here has even spoken to a GM instead of getting autoreplie'd to?

They don't want the reports, which is why they're hidden away where they will in effect only be accessed if you REALLY have some crazy **** going on.

In FF11 I reported a Dyn shell that I found out was using fleehacks to kite Xarcabard demons around. I had CONVERSATION with the responding GM. They LOOKED into the zone and they started picking off players one by one. Jail. Jail. Jail. When I asked how it went, because I wasn't even in the zone and back then the GMS wouldn't just BRUSH YOU OFF if you weren't staring the offenders in the face...he said they've all been taken care of. And they were taken care of.

Now I'd get an automated reply to please report any blah blah blah and that'd probably be it. Just chuking a message in a bottle into the ocean of who knows what.

UPDATED the main post with a NEW vid. This one is of the SAME bot but this time we got him in the wards and got his retainers. I am sorry for the sideways look of the pic but i had to hurry to get the vid. So again SE WTF are you doing to stop Bots/Rmts? the STF is crap if i can gather visual evidance why cant the STF do something about it.

Also i think Spoting a crafting bot is sorta easy. If you see someone crafting non stop. then you see them idol in the crafting stance for 45 mins or 4 hours im sure its a bot and it ran out of mats. Because i know if i crafted for 5 or 6 hours non stop when i was done i would get up and walk off somewhere log out or /sit and sell some stuff wile i was AFK

Found Sar Kingking only this time he was in Camp Tranquil. Made a video of it also. Might put it up again later on. I reported him and another one of his guys. Also reported a name of one of his minions named Doo Poo . Am i offened no but still if i can take 1 away from him or picking off his minions one at a time its all for the better

I think SE should be more critical of play activity that looks suspicious. None of us really want to play with a player who owns 10 lalafell boxes. Don't really care what they're doing with it. Nothing good for the game I'll guarantee you that.

The hordes of clone lalafell surrounding one player, which can be found on every server, should all be banned. Then we'll see if anyone LEGITIMATE actually asks why their characters were banned. You won't see them, because they're RMT. They're counting on SE doing nothing, because they're technically not breaking any rules.

Sure they are. Square Enix can terminate the account of anyone they want, and they should want to terminate those accounts because we all know what they are. Even if they are a real player, we don't want that kind of player in the game.

That's not fascist. "Your inordinate determination to play and look like a freak in a MMO to get ahead" is not protected under any nation's constitution regarding a business' right to refuse any and all service as they see fit.

We all know that on every server there are a dozen players who would do anything to get ahead, no matter how sad. I'm just saying that at best you're banning RMT in a way that actually frightens them. At worse, you're getting rid of players we all wish didn't play anyway.

Even if Sar Kingking uses 10 lalafell to get guildleve money for his marauder, I'd still tell him to go find another MMO.

Where do you stop? You stop where the players tell you to. No one will miss that guy, and he won't complain.

Mob rule is a perfectly fine way to enforce rules in a MMO. We should decide what kinds of players we do and don't play with, because their playstyle impinges on our game.

If we don't want to play with players who 10-box clones for gil or gain, then so be it. Perfectly fine. We have more say than them. If we consider them a threat to our entertainment, they need to find another MMO to 10-box.

Same way with how hardcore or casual you want to make your game. You're telling SOMEONE, somewhere to walk on by and keep looking.

Tell 10-boxers to kindly leave, because we don't really want them around playing like freaks.

On initial gut reaction, taking a cruise to Haiti shortly after the earthquake seems wrong, Objectively speaking, you are doing more good by taking the cruise than not.

In the same way, you are doing more good by banning all these 10-boxing cloners than letting them have the right to play. Does it feel like 1984? A little. Is it? No. It's a good move.

Get rid of them. See who actually complains. Those players aren't good for the game. They need to go.

I don't like people who 2 and 3 box for personal gain in MMOs, but there are enough of them to push back and argue that they serve this community well. These 10-boxers aren't part of this community. They're leeching off its tolerance of them like a parasite.

You can never prove those lalafell-clone shepherds are cheating, and I'm saying it doesn't matter. Refuse service to them. End the charade that they're counting on.
