It's true. I've played a lot of MMO's on launch/early access. Though this is the first one I've actually never received a key from, I can say all launches have issues like this. It is just the result of literally everyone who bought the game trying to log in at the same time. It's normal for MMO releases, but never lasts more than a day. Two days at the most. Once people start going to sleep, they will begin logging on at different hours, freeing up the servers. If you pre-ordered the regular version of the game, you would still get early access. If you pre-ordered the Collector's Edition, you did it because you wanted all the other goodies which come with it. Early access will continue over the next two days and my money is on it being up more often than it's down. I get that you're angry, but you definitely have got early access. The downtimes are part and parcel of the launch of any MMO, but you will probably have a good, what, 50 hours or so access before launch assuming that the servers are down for a third of the time.
I to am very unhappy about this and expect compensation. I pre ordered for early access I'm not bothered about a lvl one cap and a minion. However I did want early access and less than a hour of play is not early access!. Sort this out SE and u better compensate for this and if I can't use the server I started on free transfers would be a start.
If we are talking about failed MMO's yes... but you cannot launch a title expected so much by so many, give early access and then wait for people to go to sleep, just to withstand the simultanesly logins.....It's true. Any word yet what will happen to people who have yet to get codes?
Early access is not the privilege to have the possibility to play the game before it's release. Early access is being able to play the game between 24-27th of august, becuse that is what Square Enix said to us. Even if we can play the game how much we want, with no problems at all, from one hour from now till the release, we have still not got what we paid for.If you pre-ordered the regular version of the game, you would still get early access. And there is no relevance in other companies failing at launch with their mmos too. Just becuse other companies suck at something, does not give Square Enix free-to-suck-card.
Ahh so they fixed the duty server issues by stopping ppl from logging in..great idea..its not too late to cancel the pre order..
Holy shit!
I tried to login, got in a queue, and tabed out. When i loged tabed back, I was in!
I was dead too, but still, I am now on the server.
