Sli does not seem to be utilized properly

I am referring to the conversation, that is stemming from here:
    http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...s-on-Gaming-PC

From the word of some posters, who are saying they have monitored it.
It seems to be working in dungeons and the benchmark, but not in outside zones and towns.

It seems you get the same or better performance, with sli disabled?

    Has anyone else tested Sli?
Can anyone who has tested sli, verify this please?

SLI is being utilized in towns, standing by Ul'dah adventures crystal. SLI off 60-70 FPS. SLI On 150-180 FPS Drops down the more people around you. You need to take into account that there are congestion issues which will play into lower FPS. When you're in a dungeon there is five of you, out in the world 100's of people.

I saw a very small note on some very random page (written by SE at least) that SLI will be supported on release, meaning it's not supported now. My system is the same as yours but 670s instead of 680s, ran fine throughout beta phase 3, but had a lot of fps issues in phase 4. Also had a fairly regular black screen of death every few hours where everything died except for the bgm, my monitors even switched off and the only way out of it was to hard reset my comp. Having a heap of characters on screen at once certainly did hinder performance, but I also had other poor performance at seemingly random times, nothing I could see in game that should have been causing that sort of slow down. One other thing that reduced my fps from ~60 to ~14 was the end portal in copperbell mines, depending on whether or not it was on screen.

I should probably also mention that I'm running 3 monitors.

Edit: I should probably also add that I'm still waiting on my early access code, so this is going off phase 4 beta.
Aaaand also I should add that installing the latest Nvidia beta driver did help somewhat.

If I remember correctly, you can disable a monitor while playing a game with the NVidia profile. Multi-monitors can be a drain on FPS. Specially if you try to watch graphics/video while playing a game at the same time.

I'm running the game on 3 monitors, and, when it's working at least, it's glorious. I'll pass on disabling monitors

If SLI and X Fire were not supported then secondary cards would not see any usage this is NOT the case. It is however for many of us causing the game to run WORSE than with just a single card.

Can we please not post misinformation. You can easily get a non sli supported game to have each gpu perform the same duties. But fps will not increase.
